A few months back, I came back on here after a long break from socials, shared a few things, and ran out of stuff. Wow do I paint slow.

ANYWAY, finally something new to share really soon! It’s not a model, it’s a movement.

Okay no, it’s an app. But movement sounded cooler.

Happily resharing this, they’re an awesome line of minis with so much character, and doubly so if you have kids looking to learn how to paint (Louise has an amazing packet for specifically that on her patreon too).

It is with great pride that I announce my Tomb Kings won the prestigious “worst painted” award at my last old world tournament! The highlight, the judges felt, was the consistency, including the display board/transport box.

I do feel that it’s important to mention that I entered them as a joke.

After collecting Horus Heresy models for ~12ish years, building, painting, stripping, repainting, selling and rebuying, I’ve finally played my first Horus Heresy game, and it was glorious.

*sloppy *test* model done. This was just to see how the colors all looked together. Future models will have a little more care put in.

Finally getting somewhere with my Horus Heresy army. One sloppy model done, now to build the… 90 odd tactical marines 😅

40K tournament in the books, now time for OLD WORLD GT!

What army to bring?

Color test for more sons of Horus. Trying to move away from the ancient and decaying Forgeworld paint pots and create my own mix. Not sure I love the green, I may try to get some more blue in there for the basecoat.

At least now we can definitively say they’re not pre-recorded.

Got back into mini painting last year after a long break and decided to really push myself with this Breaka-Boss on Mirebrute Troggoth. It didn’t win the contest I entered it in but I’m super proud of it and hope it gives someone else a bit of inspiration for their next build!

Hello Bluesky, it’s been a minute! Social media burnout hit hard, but I’m back and excited to share my favorite things again: mini painting, wargaming, TTRPGs, video games, and posting random nonsense.

It’s been about 10 years since I got into collecting Horus Heresy minis, but my Luna Wolves turned Sons of Horus are finally almost ready for the table!

Cautious optimism

If Halloween names is wrong I don’t want to be right. Which is good, because I’m usually not.

So anyway, I blew it up.

If it was something like “oh they fell into that pit and died” though I think there’s grounds to say they somehow crawled their way out

Well I guess it would depend on the circumstances, right? Hypothetically If your character failed all their death saves or was otherwise killed in front of the other characters that’s just dead, but as a DM I can’t see why there would be an issue using that character in other games.

I don’t get to play much and while I don’t think I’d love it, I do love it when I know death is on the line. Playing when you know characters can’t die is like playing poker with candy.

Hmm, as a DM I’ve always gone with “death is death” otherwise decisions feel less weighty, granted we don’t lose characters that often. Do you feel like it’s cheating at all to just have a “dead” character re-appear? (Not saying it is)

Oh no worries I think your character was featured heavily in Skyrim. They’re a guard now!

So question TTRPG folks; how do you feel when/if your character dies?
