There are so many wonderful things human beings can accomplish working together. When will shitheads realize that?
A glowy black and white image of a tiny slr camera sitting on a brick wall.
Finished up a roll of Ultrafine Xtreme 100 recently with a quick soft focus session of the diminutive Pentax Auto 110. All thanks to the oddball Kenko MC Soft 85mm f/2.5.

Happy international asexuality day!!! 🖤💜🤍
Three stacked film boxes shaped like kitties with KIKI PAN 320 labeled on them. There is also a seafoam green plant vase behind the film and two green leaves to the right.
Thanks @zdp189.bsky.social for the rolls of Kikipan! First roll is going into my Nikkormat for I'm sure plenty photos of my 2 boys (and non-kitty stuff too).
A black and white image of a large billowing cloud - its shadow darkening everything beneath it. Dark forests and trees can be seen beneath it.

I'm so used to my Grandpa's all-black C3 - looks rather svelte in two-tone leatherette.
I use paper all the time in my plate cameras. It's especially easy if you have a darkroom and paper cutter - but blind cutting in a dark bag with scissors is doable. Just put it in a plate to film sheath.
Rollfilm cameras are more annoying since flange distance may mean incorrect focus.

Happy International Transgender Day of Visibility!
We're everywhere and we're cool.
Here's the trans pride flag 🏳️⚧️ on a mid-90s Pentium running DOS.

Good morning, and Happy Transgender Day of Visibility, friends.
We're still here, another year in spite of it all. And commemorating those that aren't because of transphobia but should be.

Feels good to say that 💖
A man wearing a pink hat stands with a 5x7 camera on a tripod with a sign that says “More Photographs, less fascism”.
A wheeled cart loaded with camera gear and the same sign.
Good turnout at Philly #NoKings. Had fun talking with a LOT of folks and shooting portraits of some real characters.
I was surprisingly mobile with, um, 3x LF cameras, 2x tripods, and several more small cameras!! 😅 shot some film, paper, and DPP.
Hope something comes out!

Yeah that's always been my worry - I purposely didn't bring it on a weekend trip. It's such a tiny little thing.
I had mine out over the weekend too. It really is lovely to use on the Pen-F. My only gripe is the lack of an off switch - but that's small peanuts all things considered.
Combine From Software's talents with Capcom's Monster Hunter setting and you get... a comedy cat game?

I imported the French bluray back when there wasn't any official version stateside - what a gorgeous series. Probably has one of my absolute favorite openings artistically - and the golden Dezaki/Sugino/Haneda/Kobayashi group for art/music.
Screencap from the opening of the anime Ganba in which Ganba the mouse poses with all of his mouse friends. The caption merrily reads "Ganba, Ganba, Ganba and his friends!"
The last shot from the ending theme to Ganba in which the villainous weasels darken the dusky sky and the caption reads "but the evening sun will bleach your skull and those of your friends."
A LOT can happen between an opening and ending theme.

Black and white image of billowing clouds filling most of the frame - the sky is a very dark grey. There is also a small tree in the bottom left of the image.
Infrared clouds for #halfframefriday.

A piece of 1-bit pixel art on a simulated Macintosh screen. the piece of 512x342 pixels in size, and depicts a wacked-out bit of art showin the giant number "2026" floating in space over a piece of "Globaltalk" text with an Apple logo next to it. Various spacy shit is around the piece, like a nebula behind, a planet with rings, a small black hole, a whole bunch of stylised magnetar lines, clouds, rocks, and black bubbles of possibly vacuum decay. it's signed in the bottom right corner by me, 'nanoraptor'
For Globaltalk, in Marchintosh 2026.

The lens is surprisingly clean given its age. Even more so is how relatively accurate the compound shutter is - still under a stop on the slow speeds. Not bad for a camera over 100 - better than some I own 50 years newer. The lens serial is also ~10 years older than the body - a bit confusing
A small antique 6.5x9cm plate camera (an ICA Niklas 109) sits on a dining room table. There is a bigger 9x12cm plate camera behind it out of focus.
A front view of an antique 6.5x9cm plate camera. It has a 9cm f6.8 Carl Zeiss Jena Doppel-Amatar lens. It is sitting on a wooden table with a black binder behind it blocking the light.
Got something a bit unique recently - this is an ICA Niklas 109 - not my first 6x9 or plate camera but the interesting thing is the lens. It's a Doppel-Amatar - a rather uncommon reverse Dagor clone. I've been wanting a portable Dagor solution and this will do - just need to find a rollfilm back.
This is it. Way past time for everyone in this country - literally everyone - to find practical ways to support trans people and immigrants, this regime's primary targets.
Starting right now, find something practical to do to actually help people.
That does sound rather fancy - they really seem to have swung for the fences with it.
These 6x9 system rangefinders always seemed to want to cram themselves into a view camera no matter what. I'm still trying to find a ground glass for an early Makina II (which I guess is more appropriate to the era of small plate cameras). Even the Mamiya Press can turn into one too. Very cute.
The Tower of Druaga (Arcade)
Courageous Perseus (PC-88)
Dragon Slayer (PC-88)
Hydlide (PC-88)
While we're celebrating Zelda's 40th, I want to give some love to some of the foundational action adventure games that predated it. Hydlide, in particular, deserves more respect outside of Japan for what it did for the genre in '84 (PC88).

It is! And it used normal CF cards so I don't have to go digging for a weird proprietary card reader that only works in windows 9x or something whenever I want to dump my images - just my usual USB CF/SD reader in a modern OS. The only weird thing about it is the proprietary image format.
My Kodak DC120 certainly feels like one too since the back screen/battery cover is tiltable to 90 degrees and all the buttons feel like deflated bubble wrap. Having some of my favorite older digicam color science is just a cherry on top of the weird and cheap old tech device cake.
