Excellent 👌. It will always have things one would improve… but you have to remember… it’s a movie based on a video game that, at its core, doesn’t really make logical sense. So they’re doing a lot with the material they have. 😁

Got my tickets for Galaxy this Wednesday! Going with my son and nephew! Father and uncle time!

Last night I was at my brother’s house, and we were playing MK World while talking about the game’s $80 price tag. He thought it wasn’t a bad deal since they clearly put a lot of time into making this the best version possible. We both agreed, though, that when you have such a perfect game like Mario Kart Deluxe, it’s hard to imagine how you could improve on something already great. We wondered the same about Smash Bros. If they ever made a new one, what big change could make a flawless game even better? It feels like we’ve reached a point where games are already so good that everything that can be done has been done, and now people are just reinventing the wheel. In the end... it’s still a wheel.

“You’d have saved money by buying consoles on day one” is not something I expected for this generation. But the writing’s been on the wall for a while - I pulled the trigger on a Pro and a Portal after the tariffs madness last year, and it’s only gotten worse since then.

Video games don’t make people lazy.

Bad design does.

Give someone a clear goal, a sense of progress, and a reason to keep going… and they’ll surprise you every time.

Today reminded me that sometimes your role in life changes without warning.
