it feels like such a massive concession of ground for ppl to be constantly defending "learning" and "gaining experience" as good things. like the teacher is letting their worst student stop the whole class dead every day.
I mean I probably shouldn't be surprised a Weekly Shounen Jump series is getting a high production value adaptation, but Akane-banashi has always felt like an underdog in the magazine and might get cancelled any week now, let alone actually get an anime.
I got to see the first episode of Akane-banashi last night, and I'm really glad it's getting such a good adaptation. The animation is great, but there is also clearly a lot of thought and care being put into it and how it depicts rakugo.
