Maybe you shouldn't have laid off so many editors?
"Solar was the single biggest contributor to global energy supply growth in 2025. It accounted for more than 25% of the increase – the first time a modern renewable has led global primary energy growth." #CleanEnergy #solar

Even the fake Florida news isn't nearly as nutty as the real stuff. I mean, she wasn't even nude or brandishing a gator as a weapon.
Since racoon penises are in the public discourse, I would like to call your attention to WVs finest (although fictional) racoon penis raconteur, JT Leroy.

One day apart
When I encountered this and all the menu options failed, it was time for a new hard drive. $200 later it works fine.
What? This guy? Why, I'm shocked.
Kokushobi, "cruelly" or "brutally hot" days, are 104F or more. With a super El Nino stirring, we'll likely see our share this summer.
I didn't know you were Kid Rock's neighbor

Levitsky and Ziblatt, in Foreign Policy:
"The United States has descended into competitive authoritarianism—in which parties compete in elections but incumbents routinely abuse their power to punish critics and tilt the playing field against their opposition."

The "it can't be authoritarianism if you can vote against it" argument in response to Orban’s defeat is especially silly and ignores the abundant work describing competitive authoritarianism.
An embarrassment of riches on that album.
This same approach was planned for Kentucky's bourbon country, at a Bulleit distillery, but Trump canceled the program and supporting DOE grant.

Good overview of the fossil energy crisis here from @ember. Unlike the scenario with previous price shocks, today the clean alternatives are "cheaper, faster and more secure, bringing with it irreversible consequences for an even bigger segment of fossil demand."

"Further studies may shed light on the roots of warfare in our own species, although the Trump administration’s proposed budget, released on Friday, has cast doubt on whether the research will continue."

I agree. We can largely thank Chinese clean tech for this. They have had unwavering focus on clean tech while the US lurched from one energy policy to another. Now, cheap Chinese exports make it possible for countries vulnerable to fossil price shocks to make the switch. And China benefits.
Is this one of those Deep Diss Chicago pizzas?
Now what? Is he gonna bomb the Vatican?
"'I love Viktor,' said Mr. Trump, speaking by telephone to Fidesz supporters in Budapest on Tuesday...With 66 percent of votes counted, Mr. Magyar’s opposition party was on course to win 137 seats — more than a two-thirds majority. Mr. Orban’s party, Fidesz, was expected to win just 55."
Why they changed it, I can't say
#CleanEnergy is growing despite Trump’s assaults on wind and solar, and "more impressive is that renewables are growing their market share while overall electricity demand climbs. Put simply, clean energy is taking a bigger slice of a growing pie."

I mean, it is pretty exciting but, maybe not THAT exciting
