What we are seeing in Minnesota is what authoritarianism looks like in real time. Racism, dehumanization, and state-sanctioned violence are tearing at the foundation of this country.

ICE agents in full combat gear on the streets of Los Angeles. On top of a military vehicle is an agent with a full-ass machine gun on a tripod.

Even if you assume the legitimacy of ICE operations, the idea that a fucking truck-mounted machine gun is necessary to carry them out is insane.

This is about intimidation. This is them letting us know that the streets of the United States have been militarized.

The authoritarian script:
1) Court rules against leader
2) Attack judges as biased/dangerous
3) Delegitimize judicial system
4) Create permission for threats
5) IF NO MASS RESISTANCE → Purge the courts
6) IF MASS RESISTANCE → Forced to retreat
