I tried to improvise sopes with masa corn flour but, oops they turned out too tough.
Luckily I was able to loosely follow Food Waste Feast’s scrappy bread pudding recipe and turn them into this 😋 casserole, which approximates a tamale pie. So happy with this upcycle!
TBT last week’s scrappy cooking demo with Climate Classes DC, DC Zero Waste, To Go Green and Chef Bertrand Brown-Orleans at Common Good City Farm. Kale stem pesto and banana peel cake were my faves 😋
