Part of Trump’s mass appeal (and of why he’s so dangerous) is that he really seems to share Joe Barstool’s worldview that there are no complex problems: Everything has a simple brute solution, which previous leaders were somehow too stupid or weak to deploy.

Basically id like to have something GRRM approved even if it’s not complete or is mixed in with the work of other authors.
I mean I get it, it’s his art, he cares about and wants it to remain his. He wants it all outlive him as his creation. At the same time, finishing it has become an unbearable slog. That’s why I’m saying get creative. I bet he’s got the main story almost done and a bunch of POVs completed.
GRRM has only one life to live and finishing GOT doesn’t seem to make him happy anymore. I think it would be cool if he tried to find a creative way to get the series finished while he is still alive to supervise the ending e.g. write his favorite POVs and let another writer/fans do the rest.

Dunno, nobody has done a major amphibious landing on a well-defended coast since 1945 right? Definitely not without complete control of the air and sea. Who knows how that would go with modern weapons. Look how much trouble the Russians had just rolling across a land border.
Also the hype about the tech is relentless and promises a revolution. But when I’ve actually used the tech I’ve found it mildly useful, disturbing, or meh.
