@radiolab.bsky.social #Cowresistance episode. Am I right of I think the low resistance is cause the cows are ankle deep in manure? So cow farmers get to claim grievances whilst doing this to the#cows they apparently longer?

Suggest bike parking · Sheffield

Attention #Sheffield cyclists!

Suggest new public cycle parking in Sheffield!

Nat is collating suggestions for cycle parking locations to pass on to Sheffield City Council. Locations need to be on public or council-managed property.

Cause there's nothing wrong with #Slavery according to #Reform? We never received any benefits from it? Apart from maybe #FollatonHouse in #Totnes, #Devon, which I live opposite. I'm pretty sure there are other houses out there that were bought and paid for from the #Slavetrade just out of my sight.

Trump uses Neville Chamberlain jibe to mock Starmer over stance on Iran As UK PM resists pressure to back airstrikes, US president invokes British leader known for his policy of appeasement

Surely the #NevilleChamberlain response would be to ignore a large, powerful country, like, say, the #USA, invading a weaker one, e.g., #Venezuela, in the hope that they'd never do anything like that again. #IranWar. #Sudetenland

That is the only way. We still get the staff using them to store their rubbish in, too, on #GWR. Non-cyclists often don't have the capacity to empathise with cyclists, it's odd.

If I'd been on the train for longer than half an hour, I could have asked, but it didn't work short-term. Its the system that's at fault. Insisting you book your bike should give you priority over unbooked suitcases, but alas, it doesn't.

The cases were locked in a way bikes aren't allowed to be and the normal case storage was still empty.

Crude oil prices, showing a very sharp increase in the last day, from around 65 to 101 dollars per barrel..

Oil prices wouldn't be all over the news today if more of our economy was powered by local, secure renewable energy.

This isn't an "energy crisis". It's a fossil fuel crisis.

44% of UK electricity came from renewables in 2025. More of that plus an electrified economy => no more oil shocks.

I can't believe that she believes the stuff she's coming out with. Labour and Shabana's current position works on the assumption that there are so may racists in the UK that we have to pander to them. We won't. She knows she is lying about your motives but says it cause she and her party are scared.

Today should be your 38th birthday..
When you lose your son you lose more than a child you lose a piece of your heart and your joy. Life is forever altered, and nothing can ever fill that space. Yet in my soul, he remains, my precious boy, forever loved. His laughter, his smile, and his love are woven into who I am. My love for him will never fade. Yor are my pride and my joy - you've made a change that cannot be broken..

Could he work out quickly how many farthings were in a guinea? Or even pennies in a pound? Imagine trying to work out compound interest on your mortgage when there were 240 pennies in a pound.

Hordes of fighting age men will be invading various Mediterranean islands when the weather gets better. Don't speak a word of the language or understand the customs of where they are, and fail to integrate, sticking to their own communities.

But that's just Club Med and 18-30.

So I know this has been a difficult week, but I think we should stick with the prime minister, support him. He admits he’s made a bad mistake here. He has apologised for it, and I’m sure he will learn from that going forward.

And I also think it is not good for the country to change its prime minister every 18 months or two years is leading to chaos and uncertainty, economically, politically and reputationally around the world.

The word 'think' is doing a lot of work here.

McFadden said:

I believe he (the prime minister) should stay. I think he’s got a five-year mandate, which was just voted for 18 months or so ago in a general election. His task is by no means complete, barely begun.

Practical “under the bed” reality check
Typical under-bed clearance is ~20 cm.
At this rate:0.20 m ÷ 26.4 m/day
= 0.0076 days
≈ 11 minutes
In under a quarter of an hour, the bed is floating on money.

Growth rate
Per day: ~26.4 m
Per hour: ~1.1 m
Per minute: ~1.8 cm
Per second: ~0.3 mm/s
So the money under the bed is rising at about the thickness of two credit cards every second

2 months ago 0 0 1 0

Step 2: spread that under a king-size bed
Height increase per day: 79 m³ ÷ 3.0 m²
≈ 26.4 metres per day

2 months ago 0 0 1 0

Step 1: how much “money volume” arrives each day?
Volume of one dollar bill:
Area: 0.156 × 0.066 = 0.0103 m²
Thickness: 0.00011 m
So:1 bill ≈ 1.13 × 10⁻⁶ m³
Multiply by 70,000,000:≈ 79 m³ of banknotes per day
