Yesterday on air, I did a tribute to “The Emancipation of Mimi.” The occasion was the 21st anniversary of its release, which was on Sunday. Here is the project and the tribute to the iconic Mariah Carey. 🐑🌈🦋

For my “Legally Blonde,” fans, here is my reaction to news of the film’s rerelease on air today.
Vice Mayor Nancy Metayer Bowen was a fierce advocate, respectable leader, & kindhearted, caring person. Getting to interact with & know her while reporting on the city commission was an honor. My condolences go to her family, friends, & colleagues. #RestInPeace coralspringstalk.com/coral-spring...
For #AutismAwarenessMonth & #AutismAcceptancrMonth, I wear this tie to stand in solidarity with people on the autism spectrum, their loved ones, and their care providers.
As a broadcast meteorologist with autism, I hope to inspire others on the spectrum and their families and serve as a role model.
On Friday, #BTS released their first studio album since 2020. This followed a hiatus, when each of the members participated in mandatory military service.
To celebrate the release of #Arirang, I referenced each of the songs in my forecasts.
In the Southwest, dangerous heat continues, as multiple locations hit 100° once again Thursday. Triple-digit temperatures remain possible through the weekend.
The same feature keeping the SW US hot will cause our temperatures to climb, too.
I thought I posted my #StPatricksDay forecast on here yesterday, but I didn’t. Anyway, I hope y’all enjoyed the holiday!
Severe weather update
Severe Weather Update:
A strong line of storms will move through our area ahead of a cold front. Supercells are possible ahead of the main line, which will develop in an environment capable of producing tornadoes.
Severe storms are forecast in SE Alabama Sunday night into Monday morning.
While we are still ironing out specifics (timing, exact intensity/distribution), the setup favors the following hazards:
- Damaging wind gusts up to 70 mph
- Quarter-sized hail
- A few tornadoes
And there was the perfect opportunity to reference Hilary Duff about two weeks ago.
You can tell I’m a fan of disco.

Temperatures are continuing to climb in the Southeast. Some 90s are possible as soon as today.
A few strong-to-severe storms are possible tomorrow across The Wiregrass. Damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph will be the primary hazard.
By Sunday, much cooler conditions will start to make a comeback. But they won’t be here for long.
Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow on this #GroundhogDay, meaning six more weeks of winter. However, historically, his accuracy record is ~30%. Let’s see how the rest of the season plays out!
Dangerously cold conditions will affect much of The Southeast over the next week. But, even lower temperatures could soon be on the way.

Late posts:
Last week, I had a double pop culture moment on air. First, I referenced Britney Spears during my morning hits on Dec. 2 for her birthday.
Then, I started an informal LGBTQ+ year-end pop culture review. This one featured shows and films.
Day one of my 30s is in the books! #Birthday
I didn’t post my #BlackFriday forecast from this morning, but here it is. Not only were there discounts at stores, but our forecast also has some pretty nice deals!
