In an effort to improve 6’s reading (and 9’s patience), big sister is teaching little sister how to play Pokemon. A good way to spend a snowy New Years Day, but let’s see how long it lasts before a someone ends up with a Switch to the head 😬

My husband got me it as a gift and it now hangs in our hallway. It’s a really therapeutic build and looks amazing.

Today I competed at the 🏋️‍♀️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Senior Championships: an invitational event, with some of the best lifters in the country. Despite some disasters (change of venue and day being amongst them) and having the kids in tow alone, I managed 4/6 lifts and a 🥉. Not quite what I hoped for but at least it’s done 😴

Today is exactly halfway between Halloween and Christmas, so obviously we celebrate by watching the ultimate “is it a Halloween or Christmas movie”.

A good proportion of my Bluesky feed is cat pictures, and I am not mad about it.

Reaching peak Scottish mum status today by making tablet. According to my own mum, the secret is cooling it on the back step! The kids say it tastes better than stop bought so I call that a win.

Y’know what goes down really well when you’re waiting around to lift heavy weights - knitting. Keeps the anxious hands busy, but you do end up looking like a right weirdo perched on a GHD machine working on a kid’s scarf 😂
