My version of the Turing Test is asking a music streaming algorithm to make a playlist based on Randy Newman’s music and have it not be filled with Disney songs.

I hope they solve this energy crisis soon. I need those data centers to keep pumping out pictures of me and Sonic the Hedgehog in which I have washboard abs and Sonic has huge naturals and is named Sonique. We’re in love, you see.

I particularly like that Marvis can show a playlist as a collection of albums, and can sort them randomly, which has been great for both general browsing, like flipping through records, and rediscovering forgotten albums.

I use Apple Music, scrobbling to last.fm with NepTunes on the Mac, and Marvis on my phone. Marvis is especially good at creating a custom interface with smart playlists, etc, if you have the patience to fiddle with it.
