I looked and fiddled in all kinds of settings both in prefs and brush detail but nothing changed except now I noticed it doesn’t lag much at all if I draw the stroke slowly 🤨

Updated CSP to 5 and just noticed my brushes lag like this now which wasn’t the case before 😭 since the update’s so recent I can’t find a reddit post about it and I already turned smart shapes off

I promise it won’t be tragedy 100% of the time tho! I love stories that oscillate between emotional highs and lows

Technically it’ll be even more violent since horror games aren’t neutered by TOS like comics are, Imma go so hard with the awfulness of characters >:3

I get asked often if UDgame will be nsfw and here’s why it won’t:
-censorship + deplatforming of 🔞 games getting worse and kneecaps reach
-there would be so few scenes to justify the 🔞 label and ppl will feel cheated it’s not a dedicated 🔞 game
-🔞 games actually bore me, I prefer comics format lol

Tangentially related but did u know how big newspaper comics were in the early 1900s? They were so popular that artists/writers could afford comfortable lifestyles. The guys who invented Superman tried to submit it to newspapers first bc comic books was a cheaper market

As an ace person, I just see physicality between characters as storytelling so it’s insane to me that ppl can see a graphic depiction of a head blown off and understands that’s fake but you put someone naked next to it and now it’s immoral. Wtf kind of logic is that.

Censorship sucks ass, man. I can’t write romances as dark as I’d like just bc sometimes there’s an errant tiddy. UDgame won’t have anything explicit bc it’s not ok to have a horror story with gore-y violence and abuse if any of them fucks. The problem isn’t the dark material, it’s the *sex*

It was one man who wrote a crazy book claiming comics brainwashes kids into being criminals and caused a moral panic. This was the early 1950s. Look up the long list of criteria and a lot of it will look like a carbon copy of TOS’s like webtoons.

I had a class on comics history.
1: newspaper comics was well paid work full of diff genres from action, thrillers and goofs, adults read these popular serialized stories
2: comic books were pulp fiction, lots of them about romances, crime and horror aimed specifically for adults

Hays Code was self enforced! So was Comics Code Authority! These weren’t laws and look what still lasted DECADES and destroyed careers/freedom of expression. US comics industry never recovered from it bc comics aimed at adults still aren’t a thing, that’s why manga filled the market gap.

Maybe bc I grew up in the 00s when the internet was barely censored at all but I learned to mind my own damn business and leave others alone, it’s not real.

The only hardline is whether someone is *actually* hurting someone else irl. Feeling grossed out/offended is not the same as getting hurt and assuming someone is dangerous from the fiction they consume is cop shit. Thought Crimes are a fascist concept, censorship is a tool of oppression.
