Wrong. BBC news (1pm Thursday 27th) has just done a detailed report on the falling numbers.

it is hard to find better examples of the danger of not throwing fascists in jail when you have the chance than Netanyahu and Trump

Did you mean "that Israel might destroy....."?

I listened to the interview with her on Newscast last night (bbc news 24 channel, Monday 12/5) and was very unimpressed. She parroted the same fixed talking points in answer to almost every question. It was excruciating to watch. I'm getting increasingly disappointed with this government.

Ten worst? There are thirteen names . And as was mentioned already, surely Patel should be in there too.

I was going to say the same. What exactly was so "unpredictable " ?

Also, Russia won't start the ceasefire until economic sanctions are lifted.

A good article but it doesn't mention another important point - that the ceasefire in the Black Sea is very much to Russia's advantage, since their ships have been driven out of most of it by the Ukrainians and have to stay further east.

Putin's endgame Gifted with a fractured Western alliance, a pliable US president and an iron grip on Russia, Vladimir Putin sees no reason to abandon his goal of conquering Ukraine.

This week's cover story: Putin's endgame

Serious question: Can somebody explain to me why the Signal boys loathe Europe so much? Exasperation with longstanding European refusal to spend more on defence really is not enough to explain this degree of hostility. Whatโ€™s so bad about Europe? Too snobby? An obstacle to their libertarian dreams?

The US is morally bound by this treaty to help. Nowhere does it say that Ukraine has to give up anything in return. They gave up their nuclear arsenal for that promise.

The 1994 Budapest agreement states that in event of Russia invading Ukraine, the US and UK were to help. So much for that treaty. Russia broke it with his annexation of Ukraine in 2014 and again three years ago.

I found the Kuessberg programme more interesting than usual. As well as having all three party leaders, the 'robust' discussions between Piers Morgan, CNN's Christiane Amanpour and the Trump supporter (sorry, forgot his name) were interesting and thought-provoking.

She's an awful woman but a useful embodiment of all that is "MAGA" so I think she's been invited onto UK news programmes for that reason.

Why would Yougov even run a poll on this? Seriously? "A madman dictator has made a ludicrous claim - although you know even less about this than he does, do you agree with him?"

Already happened here in the Scottish Highlands. People have to travel great distances to get to a bank, either to Inverness or Aberdeen.

You're assuming future US elections will be free and fair. Highly unlikely ...

What Trump and Co are doing is probably what Johnson and Cummings dreamed of achieving, but fortunately for Britain they didn't have the background organisation in place, nor a billionaire IT genius to manipulate social media and computer voting systems in their favour. But the wolf is at the door.

.....towards the camera. It was an absolute copy of a Putin entrance, as we've seen a thousand times in news reports. But this was on the ๐Ÿ˜ฎ . I switched off immediately . Et tu, oh BBC?

Just had a WTF? moment with the BBC News 24 channel (7.15pm Wednesday). They paused the sequence of news to show President Trump about to sign some new anti-immigrant law. We were shown big wooden doors with a line of soldiers (?) either side which then swung open to reveal the great man striding
