Glad this family are released and that Ms. Rachel is lifting up this horror. Really, though, there should be no families in ICE detention, even if they are not spelling bee stars. Whether or not they are on network news.

For many Black women, the Target boycott is not over. It may never be. A faith leader announced the end of a yearlong “Target fast,” but many Black women who helped launch the boycott say the movement wasn’t his to call off.

Better article re: the #TargetBoycott

"The company confirmed to USA Today that it’s making no new commitments or reversals on its DEI policy."

and

"Black women across the country are reminding people that they started the boycott — and they’ll decide when it ends."

Ex-Illinois inmate’s lawsuit over forced labor induction tests Gov. JB Pritzker on reproductive rights Illinois has positioned itself as a national safeguard for reproductive rights. But a new case raises questions about how those principles are applied behind state prison walls.

Inducing labor unnecessarily is a long-standing practice of the IDOC and completely unconscionable. Hoping they actually follow the Reproductive Health Act.

The IDOC has not improved health care since the consent decree in Lippert. People are dying, going blind, having amputations due to lack of care for treatable conditions.

It's not a time for speeches or hand-wringing but for collective action at the state level. This will not end with Minnesota.

Important insight. ALSO, I have no patience (and I mean ZERO) with people who say "they won't ban birth control." They will eventually try BECAUSE WHAT THEY WANT IS TO CONTROL YOUR BODILY AUTONOMY. We need to be proactive about BODILY AUTONOMY IN GENERAL.

This is f*cked up!

There isn’t any law in this country that requires you to provide proof of citizenship on the interior, but unfortunately ICE is racially profiling.

And they don’t care if you say you’re a US citizen.

So where does this leave everyone? If you don’t look white, you’re in danger.

No photos to share, but the ICE Out of OKC demonstration had a great turnout with lots of energy and *lots* of support from vehicles passing by.

One sign had an enduring message from one of Oklahoma's best: "All you fascists bound to lose."
