As for his partner, well…
It’s only really happened once or twice, but come on.
We’re talking about a living fire creature.
It’s his nature to be curious about things that are supposed to burn in one way or another.
Like any other kind of drug, Damien is not interested. He much prefers being the sober one that can spot his friend.
He doesn’t mind.
It’s gonna be quite a bit of work, but he’ll at least have his demonic partner there with him.
He’s excited over the idea of teaching the fiery fella how to properly garden, even if Dems is not interested in the slightest.
Thankfully, Damien does not have a pollen allergy…
Which is great considering he spends a lot of free time tending to his lil garden.
The garden he’s definitely gonna need to completely overhaul after the fusion war’s over.
Primarily, Damien connects with others through kind actions on his part, then sharing his own experiences if/when it’s appropriate to the current situation.
For people he’s attached to, he wants to make the most out of their time together, so he likes going out & doing something with them.
Oh yeah. Damien frequently talks to himself, usually to reassure himself or to process something out loud. He also tends to hum or sing whenever he’s doing chores & stuff.

I’m not elaborating on that.
Damien has no trouble getting out of bed in the morning. To him, being in the present means being there to help those around him, so he doesn’t wanna spend too much time asleep or in his own little world.
He always ponders about what he could have done differently. He sometimes wonders if he’s actually trying his best or if he’s slacking.
These thoughts sometimes pop into his head when he’s alone at home, but they’re especially nasty after a bad confrontation he perceives as his fault.
For Damien, it depends on how the current circumstances. Most of the time, he’s quite content with himself & what he does to make the world around him a better place. However, when he screws up, he has a hard time letting that go.
Damien likes taking the hit for others, so it’s no surprise he’s gotten in trouble for others too, ever since he was little.
Nowadays, it’s mainly for villains. However, thanks to the Mayor’s established villain system, he really only gets social consequences rather than legal ones.
All that being said,
Damien was an exception due to the right circumstances & him just being one of a kind.
It’s gonna take a miracle for Demongo to become attached to anyone else.
Despite this, as of where M&M is right now, there’s ONE little nightmare that’s close to becoming another exception.
This was his lowest point, which made it easier for him to let Damien in.
& even still, Damien’s patience & openness nudged him closer to being more vulnerable with him. Dems never had to deal with someone LIKE Damien before.
I’m not too happy with how I actually portrayed it, but Dems’ attachment to Damien happened because it was the EXACT right circumstances.
Demongo was powerless, without a safety net, knowing everyone else was starting to see him as pathetic due to his powerlessness & empty threats.
As for that certain someone, he’s also a bit of a loner but not for the same reason.
Unlike Damien, Demongo doesn’t seek out people to help. He could care less. Damien was the main exception due to a few factors, particularly HIM being the one to approach Demongo FIRST.
This is why, despite how much he wants to do good in the world & help whoever he can,
He lives a rather lonely life.
After work, after helping people, he just spends his downtime home alone.
At least, until a certain someone walked into his life.

To him, there’s a difference between “I want to do something nice for this person” & “I want to spend time bonding with this person.”
Bonding is often more of an obligation than something he genuinely wants.
He CARES about the well being of others, yes, & he’d feel horrible if something were to happen to them, but when it comes to the inner feeling of WANTING to be around certain people, well…
He doesn’t get that often, & it frustrates him to no end, but he’s afraid to talk about it.
If I didn’t know any better, I’d think I influenced this question a bit OQMQOWMSODKOCCOCMF
But uh
Yeah.
Despite Damien being super friendly towards everyone around him, it’s rare for him to feel genuinely attached to anyone.
Jasper has many many many opinions.
He is very cute, if slightly loud.
