I do genuinely really love thinking about this kinda stuff though. In my world dwarves belong to the same genus as humans (homo) and I've thought a lot about how evolution might've worked to give them the classic dwarf features we know and love.

I don't know how to tell the wolves that they're kind of dumb and arrogant

Inside me there are two wolves.

One wants to make an interactive memoir in the form of a 3D recreation of my family's cabin from memory with all the rich emotional residue from that place, including little static scenes no one but me can relate to

The other wants to make money

A crow is standing next to a melting snowbank and says "I love when the snow starts to melt and all the treasures appear". It hops along and says "Let me show you my collection". We see an assortment of objects at its feet. "54 aromatics nubs, a fine preener, assorted flavour discs, beak lovelies, flim-flams, shiny poke-stick, and best of–wait..." We see a close of of the crow looking over its shoulder "where's my jiggly squibbler?"
