Yep! Though it's pretty radically redesigned to look more like a Marauder and less like a Timber derivative. I really like the new design but I ordered this print before the core box was announced.

Couple more miniatures done, reinforcements for the Regulan Hussars I posted yesterday. #BattleTech
The hex missile pods do make them look pretty similar!
I am, but I pay a maker with proper setup and ventilation for the prints I paint. I don't have the time or space for a resin setup
Nope! Rakshasa! It's an inner sohere attempt to clone the Timber Wolf that doesn't hit the mark but it's a decent IS heavy in its own right.
This is a 3d print, hence the tag. The new sculpt has a far more marauder-y cockpit
This week, I have some new Victors because of Mechfrog's video.

Worthpointing out that altman's been talking about UBI for years but in a "we're gonna fundamentally destroy the underpinnings of a labor based economy by replacing all human workers with AGI, my solution is a corporate scrip dole I control that pets people use my product for ???". He's not serious
Looks like they went back to this scheme
Crypto bros turned AI bros cheap the fuck out on infra and deal with consequences later, more at 11
"Even though some of the newer facilities at the Lake Mariner site tout their use of quieter static venting cooling systems, residents near the Somerset, N.Y. facility report constant noise pollution. Residents say the fans that cool some of the on-site computers produce a constant 95-decibel hum — about the same as standing next to a running lawnmower or motorcycle."
Some of the cooling infra is also loud as shit. My area is dealing with one of these getting put in rn and reporting from the company's existing data center across the state is that the cooling system is the culprit for most of the noise polition.
The cooling needs are largely from the chips doing work and heating up, not the ambient temp outside the data center. The ground is also a good insulator and the data center will around it, which would significantly increase cooling costs. Look up the problems London has cooling the Underground
The cooling fans absolutely do need access to the air to worl, and that's most of what you're hearing
Oaf on oaf violence a tale as old as time

I need the dryest Trump photo you have. No, that's too dry.
Sure but that would require me agreeing with a Davion
Isn't the guy with the gold regent the Davion Anti-pope?
A painted miniature of a Blackjack 'Mech. It is greenish blue and the cockpit glass is red. The miniature is photographed on desert terrain.

I quite like this color. The base is P3 Trollblood Base.

Finished up a Clan Striker Star for my Jade Falcons remnants. A Vapor Eagle, Conjurer, Piranha, Incubus and a Horned Owl. This color scheme has really been making them a favorite of mine. #battletech #alphastrike #mech #mecha #wargaming #miniaturepainting #minipainting
I worked at a winery over the summer that had a fallout shelter underneath it from when it was built in the 70s. From the main deck you could see an old munitions depot across the lake that I'm pretty sure shows up on old probable targets maps lol
Painted Warhawk miniature beside the card that inspired the scheme

Here's the Masakari Prime painted in its Battletech TCG scheme! (I accidentally posted my Masakari C twice, forgive this freeborn's ignorance). One of my favourite mechs to paint! #nerdlings #paintingminiatures #battletech
I mean they've also done that by making BSPs the default way you play non-mech assets, with full rules for non-mech units updating somewhere in the near to medium future once core releases. I kinda get why and I can still just bootstrap in TW vee/BA rules but that's my "am I so out of touch?" change
Which is comically bad. It always punishes you for bringing more units unless you're using like cheap shitty hover APCs or something to build penalty walls to move block your opponent, in which case this change would've given you way too much power
The initiative change they posed to the CDT (which leaked along with a bunch of other stuff) was basically super front loaded initiative. If you outnumber by more than 1 unit instead of having a few double activations you move the entire difference between your forces in the first move
I'm glad the initial private playtest change never made it anywhere
