Canadian authors, if you aren't eligible for the US Anthropic lawsuit bc you didn't register US copyright, we have our own class action suit! It doesn't rely on registering copyright and you're included in the class by default 🇨🇦

Again, the first Tea Party rallies in April 2009 -- heavily promoted in advance by Fox News -- only had about 300,000 attendees across 750 cities, but the media treated it like the Second American Revolution.
There will be multiple *individual* No Kings rallies today that have more people at them.
Surprised Iran hasn’t figured out they could end this with some made up very prestigious award.

Hamnet Synopsis: A poignant drama that explores Agnes and William Shakespeare’s loss of their 11-year-old-son, which back then was considered pretty old, all things considered.

This is a rotten deal that the Trump regime has rubber stamped.
State AGs must step in and block it.
In cases you were wondering . . . this is a photo that annoyed Pete Hegseth so much because he thought it was "unflattering" so he got the photographer barred. I encourage all of you to use it as often as possible.
i bet this shit sounds magical if you're fucking stupid
The first state in the US to remove statutory protections for an entire class, gender identity, has just enacted a bill preventing local municipalities from having their own protections for trans people.

cannot stress enough that "separate the art from the artist" was meant for private individuals reconciling the art they love with its flawed creators and not meant for the ceo of a company driving a dump truck of money up to a bigot's front porch

If you’re roughly my age, it’s wild to reflect on the optimism for the future Americans felt when Obama was elected — young Americans spontaneously took to the streets to celebrate! — and contrast with what we face today. The falloff over the past 18 years is hard to process.
1. Are you currently using an AI tool for work-related tasks or projects? * Yes * No, but I would like to (PLEASE SKIP TO QUESTION 7)
My employer asks me to complete a survey on AI usage for which this is the first question (required):
Oh no, I can't believe all those slurs forced themselves into that defenseless group chat!
I know it was desperate times but Dems really, really have to vet candidates better.
There were stories about this dude being a racist POS before and we all fell in line behind "vote blue no matter who" but look where that's gotten us in this case.
Same should go for Graham Planter.
Good morning! Yes, this is he
To other film festivals out there, especially those of you that regularly platform films from the major studios. Now seems like a great time to NOT DO THAT. If three total companies are going to own the world we all have a responsibility to work harder than ever to discover and platform new voices.
REV. KING: “If Rep. Fritts wants to lead a Christ-First Tennessee, he should reexamine Christ’s teachings… You simply cannot call yourself “pro-life” if your response to those who have abortions is the death penalty.”

Seeing some "fuck Kansas" replies/QTs and while I wholeheartedly agree with the sentiment behind the statement, I think a better response would be "fuck, we need to help the people of Kansas"
If anyone knows a good way to do that, please put it in the comments and I will amplify
A white woman who is not a doctor & doesn’t believe in science is currently undergoing Senate confirmation hearings to be the US Surgeon General.
Black people, don’t EVER let these people tell you that you are a “diversity hire” or don’t deserve the roles you have so richly prepared for & earned.
I'm so tired of men ruining every good thing that women achieve for themselves.
cartoon drawing of someone trying to clean their glasses on their shirt. she holds it to the light. still dirty. frowning. “no” “may your enemies’ glasses be always smudged, and their shirts the wrong type of fabric ♥️”

I liked it better when I didn’t even know who the director of the FBI was, much less have to read about his tawdry exploits on social media.
Pretty amazing that comms person at FBI called my @ms.now colleague @kendilanian-nbc.bsky.social a liar and demand a correction only for Kash to post a photo from the locker room
thinking about how Savannah Guthrie had to cancel her trip to work the Olympics because of her mom’s kidnapping but the guy who heads up the investigative body handling the case was posting pictures of himself in the US hockey locker room today lol
The Ford Pinto had a death rate of 85 people for 10 million cars sold. The Cybertruck hasn't sold 10 million, but the fatality rate so far maths out to 1,452 people killed per 10 million sold.
The Cybertruck may be the deadliest road car, for the occupants, ever sold.

The FBI Director, everyone. You paid for it.
Remember, when news outlets first reported that Kash Patel was spending $75,000 of taxpayer money to fly an FBI Gulfstream jet to Milan so he could watch Olympic hockey, the official spokesasshole for the FBI had this to say:
And if you’re wondering “Why is there a blob in the back?” Well, that’s where the first woman president was supposed to go. More than a century later, it remains unsculpted.
