No but thank you for the offer! Honestly there must have been about 50 bar towels up for grabs today and I just grabbed the select few I liked or had historical links to the pubs.

I also managed to pick this up for the Rutland.

I was quite disappointed by the Flowerpot in recent visits, so much so that I've sadly started leaving it off my Derby Pub Crawl.

When you live in possibly (definitely) the best area for pubs in the country, it's so bloody hard to make yourself venture out to different places.

Really wanted comfort food today so I made the one and only dish my mom could make without somehow fucking it up - corned beef hash. And let me tell you, whilst it really hit the spot for my mood, there is definitely a reason I've not eaten it for going on 20 years.

Pint and book! I've absolutely loved reading The Infernal Desire Machines of Doctor Hoffman. A tale of artifice, aspiration, and arousal. The Odyssey if Homer had access to LSD.

The pint was English Pale by Ideal Day, which was refreshingly crisp and clear in comparison to a complicated read.

Amazing thank you! I imagine we will be drinking more wine anyway, so non beer focus is absolutely fine.

We've not even started looking where to go yet, so if you have any places you'd like to put forward then please feel free!

Bologna, I'm going to be in you next month, and I promise to spend outrageous amounts of money in your wonderful bars and restaurants if only you would please stop Villa from winning a trophy this season.

That scene from Game of Thrones with Hodor holding back the horde of white walkers except I'm hodor and it's a horde of tickers trying to get into the pub at 11:45 on any given weekday.

It's Easter weekend, which in Sheffield means that all the best pubs are packed with folkies.

So I am taking refuge in this fiddle free zone with a nice glass of fleurs de printemps.

Oh absolutely not! I've never been able to do biscuits. They always end up rubbish. So I'm very jealous!

Since last Friday I've managed to have one whole afternoon (today) to myself outside of working what feels like non stop. What did I do with it I hear you ask? I wrote the pub quiz ready for my shift tonight.

When I went to Burton, this pub was the one I was most surprised by, I really liked it too.

Haha. No idea what made this weekend so busy. Nothing particularly special, just loads of thirsty punters!

I have served so much cask beer this weekend that I now have pint pulling calluses at the point where my hand grips the handpulls.

How was it? I had a terrible experience the last time I was in the Coopers and don't much feel like ever going back, but the way everybody talks about it makes me think I must've missed something?
