Or replace parking lanes or driving lanes with trees!

Can we map bond revenue to regions?

Thanks for all of your and your teams thought and research on this. One thing to consider is stopping use of cloud services and self host the video evidence.

How many car lanes do we need to trade per light rail track? 15th has 4 or 5 most of the way. Alskan way at the waterfront has too many (4 iirc) too. Skip the tunnels, just replace roads.

a diagram of a the same block after a couple generations of infill development highlights the difference in green open space. The courtyard scheme has slightly more units, and much more trees, landscape and amenity spaces. Drawing by CAST architecture / Matt Hutchins

Over a couple generations, the neighborhood pattern will resemble the perimeter block with courtyard interiors that many people really appreciate.

Seattle is going to grow. Why not set the zoning rules so we incentivize the kinds of urban housing that are super popular

Convenient to call the new income tax one on "high earners" rather than the "millionaires" the are. Also, what's the proof that downtown is the most economically important neighborhood?

Is there any idea of how many amendments are left? Are republicans trying to run out the clock or find a moment where enough dems are in the bathroom? Thanks for the updates!

I really like the label of Do Nothing Democrat. They are the status quo folks who hold a seat for the term to prevent progress, which requires taxing rich people. Bruce Harrell was this too.

Same with school centered upzones!

More con sign ins than the number of people it would impact I believe. Very curious how folks are getting linked into the con sign in.

I think it's worth trying ways for folks to input their voice. We know public hearings don't work because they bias towards folks who can take the time to go (including lobbyists.) I've always liked the idea of liquid democracy where each person gets one vote they can either use directly or delegate

What's an example? I compared folks to registered voters and most matched up. (There isn't enough info to differentiate between voters of the same name.)

#waleg folks (like @juliareedwa.bsky.social ) what software would help the leg process and advocacy? I've got wa-law.org and wonder how it could better help. I'm currently digging into why so many folks signed in con on the millionaires tax.

I liked how she detailed the retention policy (5 days locally and incidents are uploaded to the cloud for longer term storage). She's clearly been learning and thinking about this a bunch.

Looks like I can match ~53% of the testifiers to voter records by name alone. Another ~39% match multiple voters. That leaves ~8% unmatched. The matched group could be interesting because there are a few demographics in the voter registration.

I search a few random names around the spike and nothing jumped out. I just requested a copy of registered voters to cross reference against.
