very nice!
cold re-evaluation of your own ideas, constantly. "Do i really need feature XY"? "What would feature XY contribute to my quality goal/intend of the game?". Easier said than done, tho
its all about finding good discords and gamejams :) and small little connections here and there ๐๐
i like the twist with the horror aspects! A student team+me made a a similar demo game like yours. But our focus was a different one, more steampunk style and puzzle, less horror:

Keep up the good work! ๐
i like the art and the mood of this
hell yeah!
why not all 3 and have the mini boss switch pases or "attack modes" haha
ah alright :)
nice! which one?
Its a marathon, not a sprint! And hey even if you make it explode along the way - I am sure youll figure a way to un-explode it even faster afterwards. Hang in there
I think its a matter of where you look for people and what project you tryout with them. I tried joining teams for a minimum of 3 months with the goal of finding a good fit. But 3 months is way too long. If you have the opportunity, gamejams + alot of patience are the way to. Since theyre quicker
Very cool to see that theres still people open to work together and be a part of a team (rather than only pushing their own passion project). It is challenging to find those like minded though for a good team composition. Especially in the social/motivational aspect (not just skill)
love the tiny simple creatures! makes the game look very unique
Its amazing what one can add in depth by camera movement. A nice tool for 2D games
nice pixelart!
I have 2 free games to try out, if you like :) A platformer and a puzzle style point and click adventure. Have a look at my Linktree for those.
Following 420 peeps on bsky. Ill rest at this checkpoint for a short while
Oh yeah :D better safe than sorry!
i see a square game. I press like. No questions asked
Love these kinda posts. Not just because its a behind the scenes. It reminds us, that we as gamedevs are stakeholders of our own product(game). Making tools for us/our team is equally important as quality of life features for the players
In terms of gamedev (or anything really), a wonderful thing! The criteria (like minded, supportive) unfortunately is a rare gem to find ๐
i found out that equiping items with stat comparison and sometimes rules for what can or cannot be equipped is quite a complex topic. Good job on tackling it step by step!
i really dig your pixelart style! nice job
We can't stop cancelling our games
