I also love tiny bags. I have a beaded fanny pack in this style and it’s actually great for concerts. It fits: cash, a credit card, and lipstick. Perfect.

Building a rainbow. Taste the rainbow? Reading rainbow? Rainbow Bright? Oh goodness 🤓

And maybe more ways to share! Love your images :)

I hope so too! And think you’re right. It hardly feels like a direct Instagram alternative but in some ways feels more mentally sustainable for me. I can’t tell if more people just need to join or if I’m doing something wrong, but I’m here for the evolution.

Things I like here so far:
1. No reels or carousels (though I’m still confused about the culture of image sharing).
2. All the leftist stuff and less of the Instagram culture. It kinda feels like 2011.
3. I want to like “algorithmic choice” but I still don’t know what it means.
4. To hashtag? 🧐

Oh interesting, thanks for this, I’ll check it out. Also, you commenting on my Bluesky post and not an Instagram post does make me think the app is working.

Questions I get from other artists about Bluesky:
“But like how does it work?” Idk 🫠
“But is anyone there?” People seem to be here.
“How do you get followers?” So far by posting a link on my Insta 🙃
“Are you leaving Instagram?” We keep postponing the break-up, but we’re sleeping in separate beds.

Two heads are always better than one. What’s your interpretation? I always receive different ideas related to this piece and each one allows me to introspect.

One must constantly exist in conversation with the self, especially the parts of the self we’ve yet to understand or accept or even like.

My friend and are thinking of stopping into figure drawing in Feb. Is it usually one model? And are there long and quick poses? Thanks for offering this 😊

An off-white building with wood slats featuring a partially open door and a round wood sign and a hanging planter of succulents. A bucket on a cart is on the right. Through the open door is a counter with dye pots and a large window with string lights.

Slowly manifesting my inner world into my outer world in the hopes to have open dye hours starting this winter. It’s been a journey, but I love the potential this funky little studio offers 🤍

When I made this work, this Virginia Woolf quote ran through my head on repeat: “As a woman, I have no country. As a woman I want no country. As a woman my country is the whole world.”
Feels more poignant than ever, though I know it’s more complicated than a 100-year-old quote.

Me too! I hope this turns out to be a viable alternative to Instagram with everything going down 🤍

If this is our future due to Meta going MAGA, I’m here for it 😎
