My cards told me that the thing I want to do as a career is something I can in fact do and that it *will* be profitable, but I can't sit and ideate all day and *must* actually put work in, and I feel a little attacked.

48 hours almost to the minute, even.

I made this for a friend who lost their wallet a few days before this, gave them instructions on how to cast it, and it worked in literally 48 hours. I don't know why my mind keeps being blown every time I get tangible results so quickly with sigils.

I realized as I was finishing this sigil that it had what looked like half of a pentagram revealed, so I decided to make a physical protection sigil to complete the other half, and a combo sigil of them both

A sigil for finding lost things. Draw this on a piece of paper, and focus on it while envisioning the thing you lost. Fold the paper toward you three times and leave it where the lost thing would normally be found. Then keep looking for it.

my daily discovery playlist with the final song listed as "HIT EM WHERE IT HURTS"

my daily discovery playlist with the final song listed as "HIT EM WHERE IT HURTS"

Not sure it means anything, but I hadn't checked out my Daily Discovery on Tidal yet when I had posted this, and am just getting around to it now, and the last song on the mix today is titled the same as the caption I put here. Kind of wild synchronicity.

A book bound in thick, purple scales, with a large eye and toothy maw on the front, eyed tentacles splayed above. It is a journal of thick, yellowed paper, in the visage of a beholder.

An open page of the grimiore, showing a handful of sigils, along with a beautiful black cat who is 100% a familiar who appeared to me and forced his way into my home a few years ago shortly before my elderly cat passed. He is sitting pretty just above the open book, almost as if posing for me.

Share your books of shadow / grimiores, bonus with familiars!

Something felt unfinished about this one after I made it, so I haven't done anything with it yet. On my flight earlier today, I realized it had a gaping flaw, so spent some time today patching it.

For anyone interested in both chaos magick and physics, and could serve as a really good introduction to either. It's written in a way that makes all sides of it very easy to understand, even when discussing complex topics. I'm excited to dig into the second part, which is practical (2/3)

"The Engineering of Coincidence" by Robert Ramsay

"The Engineering of Coincidence" by Robert Ramsay

I read the first half of this on my plane today, and "as something of a scientist myself," I am in love with the way @robertramsay.org marries relativity, quantum theory, entropy, and chaos theory and makes a very compelling argument for how they describe magical systems. Def a good book to (1/2)

Oh man, I remember finding an earlier version of this on deviant art back in college. I feel like this was one of the things that turned me on to the idea of chaos magick before I was fully ready to leave Christianity and really dive into it.

a sigil

a sigil

Here's a curse for a very narrow and specific purpose. I'm not typing the actual intent here, but its creation was catalyzed by events in Minneapolis today. Magick is a great tool for effecting change, but it's also not a replacement for getting out to protests, and taking action.

My ride to the airport fell through, and literally, as soon as I finished this sigil, I got a text from the person I thought was the longest shot, but would be the most convenient, and they are able to help me out!

A sigil in the style of the Scandinavian vegvísir rune of wayfinding.

I'm traveling tomorrow, and I wanted to create my own "travel safely" sigil, inspired by the vegvísir, but more personalized for me, and incorporating an element meant to reduce annoyances (hopefully).

Thanks! I wondered if that was it in the alt text, or if it was just a fun tag for doing tarot on a Monday 😆

I love how the paint markers burn in a way where the sigil is still visible on the ash of the paper. Touching the paper causes it to turn to dust, but it holds itself together until jostled.
