I told my mom about people being taken like this, she asked for statistics to de-escalate my anxiety. It doesn’t matter if it’s 1/100 or 1/100,000 etc. They’re people. Family to someone. Could be you or yours. It’s inhumane.

We’re in MD. My family includes LGTBQ, autists, are targets of EO & more.

I see these all over but I don’t get how they will fix anything. Even in the article you shared it says at the end the protests won’t make any difference to DT etc. Honest question, no judgment. Really, what to do? Call reps isn’t helping. Feel helpless and full of dread.

Maybe it depends on our personal sound at home too. I have an old tv, we cranked it above 20 and heard the lyrics better but don’t have much “bass” to speak of. It was def mixed poorly tho, no argument. I worked tech crew in high school, it baffles me when sound checks aren’t done better.

That’s awesome. It’s also nice to watch shows from older eras to slow down, lower the intensity. Still offer a lot to think about but every scene isn’t turned up to a 10, with cliffhanger endings.

My concern about (adult) vaccines and autism is how to get my teen(s) to agree to get them as needed now, and to seek them at all (and other care) once I’m not there to push. I know, not the issue at hand, but it’s a real issue.

You would make a delightful hedge witch! I hope you had a lovely solstice. It was so very winter like when I awoke this morning, feel like temp 17 degrees and my apt hit 59 overnight. Brrr.

Will it fix the chronic institutionalization of autistic people? The violence we suffer as a community. Will it give us independent living and support? Or will only serve to try to find new ways to prevent us from existing? I bet on the last one."

It's not enough to let people know that vaccines don't cause autism. We also have to affirm that autism is not something to fear, that autistic lives are worth living and supporting, and that autistic people deserve to exist and be loved.
