I can say though I've never looked forward to something more in my life!
Truly not weird at all. A lot of what we provide is comfort and companionship. The bulk of my time spent with people is other forms of intimacy and conversation, sex actually just being an additive of the time spent together.
Performative is like any job, showing up as your best, even when days may be tough. Transactional is just a boundary. The lack of 'any real connection' is in part due to the type of client someone is. I have great connections/friendships with clients who respect and genuinely connect with me also.
