Okay! Tomorrow... this weekend, sometime.. I'm gonna do that dusty english garden wine/green/rose/sage with cream base. I think I've found a pattern I want to work up with it as well. 🤞

Oh man, I was going to try something this weekend, had a lovely thought for English Garden themed yarn but I have not left bed or the couch for three days. 🤧 No fun.
This is a lot of work already 😅
It's so exciting to just play with colors and see what happens but I CANNOT keep this much yarn around the house! I'll post some in my shop once I have labels sorted but I think I might also try and do some local swaps or city geo cache type big surprises! #🧶 #sanantonio

Close up photo of yarn. The base colors are a variegated indigo with relief patches dyed fuchsia, teal, and left white.
A better picture of what we ended up with. Once I get them straightened out, I'll twist them into hanks and wind one into a cake at least. #🧶
Colors! Definitely some quirks with the reusable zip ties, over-saturation on my relief dyes, and crazy quick strike rate. I think with now intense the colors are this batch, I'm going to attempt an intentionally pastel variegated palette to learn more things. #🧶
Yeah, the saturation is.. a thing! Looks amazing for the base but it's something I need to learn to temper. Thank you Sof 😭💕
Close up of yarn sitting in a dye bath. Dark rich purple at the top with bluer tones at the bottom.
Ouuuh I didn't post this here. Ya girl is embracing the struggle of creating posts and multi-posting and I'll have to figure out a system. Here's the hyacinth-indigo base dye 👀 #🧶 More to come, there was one more bit after this!
Close up of undyed yarn soaking in water, lots of black zip ties holding bunches of yarn together.
🌟 Things I have learned today, so far: 🌟
- Re-emphasis on hotel pans being an awkward length 🤔
- Reusable zip ties seem really cool but they are also awkward 😬🪡
Letting the wool soak and then we'll play with color. #🧶
🌈
I only have a small handful of undyed hanks left! Thinking about color combos and ideas.

Alright, I'm going to get some yarn soaking. I think we're going for a purple-dark purple base with spots of teal and fuchsia in it. Hopefully five mini-hanks.
Debating shifting everything over to @faunandfiber.bsky.social but for now, I'll post here and also eventually post them for sale here!
