This May, we are proud to celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month with a focus on this year’s theme: Community. In a time where connection and collective care are more important than ever, we’re coming together to highlight the role of community in promoting mental wellbeing and breaking the stigma.
We are excited for the next chapter of our collaborations with local partners and we invite all interested stakeholders to invest in mental health, mental health promotion, and the accessibility of mental health care.
We will contribute to the implementation of necessary mental health research and the advancement of evidence-based care.
Together we aim to enhance the accessibility of mental health care and preventative services by undertaking joint activities focused on raising mental health awareness and overcoming stigma.
This collaboration emphasizes the critical importance of mental health and the need for a unified approach in tackling mental health challenges. We believe that through the guiding principles of unity and cooperation, we can overcome these challenges more effectively.

The Emotional Support Hotline is now up and running in Armenia đź’™
Thank you all for your incredible contributions and continued support!
The Emotional Support Hotline reflects our shared commitment with the Yerevan Municipality to address mental health needs proactively and compassionately. By improving accessibility, we hope to reduce barriers to mental health services and promote overall well-being in our community.
By creating this essential bridge, we strive to support individuals who might otherwise fall through the cracks of traditional service models. This pilot program is designed to deliver preventative, evidence-based care aligned with the highest international standards.
The initiative aims to bridge the gap between institutional services and community-based support, ensuring that more people receive timely, culturally sensitive care.
Staffed by trained mental health professionals and volunteers, the hotline will provide immediate assistance to individuals experiencing psychological distress.
This collaboration marks a significant step in improving access to mental health services. Operating Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, the hotline will offer confidential support, evidence-based interventions, and referrals to additional resources.
The Mental Health Awareness Initiative NGO is proud to announce a strategic partnership with the Yerevan Municipality to launch an Emotional Support Hotline, providing free, confidential mental health support to the public starting April 2025.
We can’t afford to let the stigma persist.
This International Women’s Day, let’s unite to support, celebrate, and advocate for equal access to mental health services. Together, we can change the world!
