Now that WorldfootballR is no more (😭) where best to get individual shot data?

Ah yes, the old KR tactic

Not a great combination

Nowhere near good enough, the sort of performance that sends out alarm bells. Ten minutes of pressure and we crumble - lots to be concerned about. Previously have accepted we have League One players having to play up, but failing to do anything of note tonight is a big problem #OUFC

Yup! The small bit I’ve seen is poor from both in the final third. Now is the chance to get the away win…fancy Dale/Edwards to change it (hopefully!)

I’ve only watched the last 10mins of that half, but it looks poor from both teams? Certainly something in it for us if we can get some supply out wide #OUFC

Hmm appears to make things trickier!

Peterborough now in an interesting situation with Poku. *I think* OOC in the summer, but now requires a hamstring operation. Peterborough no doubt relying on a January auction

Was going to watch Currie but he doesn’t look to be in the Orient squad? Injury? Possible recall? Will give Lincoln or Walsall a watch instead #OUFC

Watching Birmingham vs Stockport - for an Ethan Pye watch along. Lewis Bate captain of Stockport.

Very good at intercepting high and being direct! Certainly has more influence and value playing through the middle rather than wide, imo

I don’t think it is binary. I just feel we need a more passy type that can take the ball on the half turn under pressure - if we can find someone who can do both, great!

Shamrock Rovers and #oufc have agreed a deal for Ed McGinty. Personal terms yet to be agreed. (Source: Irish Independent)

Brannagan can obviously play there, but you lose some of his strengths. Although in the short term I think:

El Mizouni // Brannagan // Goodrham

Is the way to go with the midfield

Listening to this weeks The Dub…with the problem we have with the #6 would it be better to have a passing profile in that position rather than a destroyer? We struggle to progress through the midfield - maybe someone who enables us to play out? #OUFC

Just saw the corner we conceded from…looks like a well run routine to me? Phillips loses his man but Millwall make good use of blockers and cause some chaos at the back post #OUFC

Both Phillips and Placheta are squad players, imo. Not sure how long either will last playing 60mins+ twice a week. Encouraging re: Goodwin and Dale!

Didn’t watch today due to work, how was it? On the face of it, a reasonable result against one of the in form teams in the league. Another shot/goal for Goodrham off a carry - was he improved playing through the middle again? #OUFC

Market Analysis: Young Midfielders in the Championship - Analytics FC Mohamed Mohamed is back with another scouting epic, this time assessing a range of midfielders in England's fertile second tier

The Championship is a fascinating league with fascinating young talent, including in midfield. For @analyticsfc.bsky.social, I highlighted some of the young midfielders in the division, and how they're each making their own impact analyticsfc.co.uk/blog/2024/11...

Like most players for teams our size, they have limitations. The last few games have seen them facing their own goal too much which we can probably also look toward the midfield. We gained results prior to Nelson coming in, so not sure that the lone cause

I don’t think we go into Middlesbrough/Sheffield United expecting to pick up points, but the defending on display has been a big concern should we carry it into other matches #OUFC

Unfortunately Sheffield United haven’t had to do much to be 2-0 up here. A poor set piece to concede then a mess on the second. Asking some League One players to make a big jump each week #OUFC

Seems like the new Head of Recruitment is all but confirmed. Some nice additions at Wycombe from non-league, plus loans (another Ipswich link!).
