The difference, is you are seeking betterment, and to learn, and respect the weapon in your hand. And acknowledge you're status as a learner, a beginner, not delusions of 'cool'

YES!
Evil, incompetent and casual and careless with things meant to do harm. Someone should have taken it away from him. And the sad thing is, I doubt he has enough awareness to realize that what he looks, is the opposite of cool, to those who have even a bare understanding.
The Liquor Cabinet
And a complete and total failure of responsibility on behalf of politicians that have not demanded accountability
"I AM YOUR PROTECTOR!!!" screamed the men that we all need protection from.
One I am glad I can show up for, even if it's just random words of encouragement, and bits of second hand wisdom, or hard earned experience. You're well worth the care, and more, are one of those who will take their need, and share the love around. Like a candle igniting candles, the light grows.
I'm a bit past 40, I don't tell my exact age, as a general rule, but not so much older that I don't get you. It is ironic, it was your firing that brought you on my radar, and exposed me to a bright, intelligent mind, with similar hobbies, lots to say and a lot of heart.
See, now this is a guy who deserves to get the press he gets from you, not Gavin Stillscum. For one Pete isn't about taking away your rights, or others on Teal Alphabet, for another, He is the actual intelligent man, not some unnamed staffer.
He's also God Damned Right
my retirement goals is to stream myself playing old JRPG's for no monetary reasons, but because they are fun.
Oh dear, it doesn't matter what's on her Passport, no sensible country wants her in it.
Kids? Oh hell no. I'm something past 40 and I don't always want to face my traumas. Ain't no way that kids should have to. Come Heaven or Hell, I'm gonna find whomever made "Ol' Yeller" and words shall be said and acts shall be done on behalf of a little me.
I'm losing my mom to dementia mostly, but soon she will be gone too.
I feel you. Be well.
yup, or at least in the "do I want to face that right now" category. Never did quite understand the whole need for trigger warnings, life has a funny way of making a point and point, well and truly made.
correct me, if I am wrong, but this is a visible light image? Meaning if we were "there", this is what we would see?
writers do be like that. At least the good ones. Others write 'Mary Sue' characters and wonder why people don't find their stories wonderful.
My mother has dementia. She calls the host of Wheel of Fortune 'The Rainbow Man' she still makes more sense than this clown.
against the wall, under the bus, as long as it's out with the trash.
so, it was just now that I realized that I was not in fact following the source of these wonderful and uplifting pieces, only that they where being shared. I have fixed that, and also, just thanks.
if I had to deal with congregants all day....
Oh who am I kidding, I would anyway......
the science behind the crack sound is cool too.
the part I am having a hard time with, is why people are having an issue. I mean unless you are a spousal abuser and/or murderer does it matter that words like 'husband' are denied use? Does it actually impact 'you' if journalists and reporters stop, and if so, why?
when it comes to children I wish the term was "cadaver in waiting"
ain't it fun having people feel the need to argue semantics, because there is no argument to be made, at all, about clarity? With all the people arguing at you, about a valid choice, exhausting they might be, the one thing I wish I could give you, is a nap.
I believe it was Leonard Nimoy that argued that he owned his likeness and all right to it's use successfully.
But I hate the idea of people misusing you, a genuine decent bloke, kinda pisses me off an extra little bit more.
And also this. Very much this
Full agree. I only added that comment, not to shift the narrative, but because it kept poking at the back of my brain that I didn't want to be misunderstood. 100% those prejudicial biases apply more to men, who are far and aware the majority
You're right, could have cut the bugger right out, with "whom she was in the process of divorcing" But the point, and a needed one that is being made, is that you cross a line, you no longer get any sort of positive relationship to the victims. husband/wife. Mother/Father, and the like.
After several moments of thinking, While it is more rare, the same needs to be said of women who can, and are abusers, and can, and are familial and spousal murderers too. Gender don't matter, you murder, you no longer get any positive phrasing of your former relationship to victim.
couldn't put it better.
Sad it makes sense.
