IF YOU BUILD A BIKE LANE THAT DOESN'T CONNECT TO ANOTHER BIKE LANE THEN YOU DIDN'T BUILD A BIKE LANE

Compared to Adeline Street in Berkeley, which also used to have a rail system.

We (i.e. cities) all make our own choices.

Women are incubators, and if a woman has the temerity to act a person with rights instead of an object, she should go to prison. Why stop at abortion, Students for Life?

Why does the photo feature a woman. She's an object. Objects don't have opinions or voices.

The Columbine massacre was on this date in 1999. Instead of energizing our country to get gun violence under control, it kicked off a new normal. One of the best explanations ever of journalism's destructive impact on mass shootings came from Roger Ebert in his review of Gus Van Sant’s “Elephant.”

Parker is absolutely on point here. Trust me, I have no shortage of anger for people who sat out 2024 and would love nothing more than to really lean in to a well earned "I FUCKING TOLD YOU SO," but the fact is that shit is pure poison for serious political organizing.

Suck it up and move on.

The standards for security clearances are so low in the administration that security clearances are becoming/close to meaningless.

IMO Israel should not be attacked.

Israel's history is a litany of retaliation with 10X greater deaths of civilians. I am not surprised at what we are seeing today. This is who and what the conservative government of Israel has always been. They need (to create) these problems to stay in power.

My hobbyist fisherman spouse has never mentioned sea lions, and he just came home with salmon caught off Pigeon Point. Now, if you could just do something about those gas prices, that would make a difference.

Polio vaccine (1954) followed by recommendations and requirements for school age children (1955) and federal funding to pay for it (1955 start).

However, the polio vaccine is quite effective and wasn't profit driven. LLMs are neither, and evidence indicates they cost children's live, not save them.

Why is USPS expected to have a monetary profit? USPS provides a service that is materially used every day, unlike, say, nuclear weapons. Nukes do not provide any sort of monetary return, and while they do provide a national security service, they aren't used materially every day.

California isn't perfect, but this is an example of the state providing a resource to all Californians. We are all in this together.

Your tax dollars at work.

"Maybe the original plan we laid out wasn't ideal, maybe we could be smarter.”

Even if he's talking about NNSA ... "Gee, boss, thanks for expressing your confidence in your staff"

nuclear dust, it's not a thing.

It could be. There are nuclei in dust, organic and atomic, but you & I contain nuclei, both organic and atomic. So we're nuclear people, just like everyone else on the planet.

Using a term like nuclear dust is a demonstration of incompetence and/or ignorance.

The Buffalo Medical Examiner rules that the death of a legally blind elderly Burmese refugee dropped off by Border Patrol at a closed shop late at night in winter was a homicide.

He died of a burst ulcer caused by severe stress brought on by dehydration and hypothermia.

Trump's Solicitor General is unprepared for questions from SCOTUS. This administration will be remembered as the incompetent administration.

The federal Indian law discussions were painful. The Justices talked about Native peoples as if they were some distant past problem and the Solicitor General outright admitted that he didn’t even think about how the administration’s position would affect their citizenship. Not sure what else to say.

Which would matter if the war was about nukes, but it's not. It's about oil.

If the Democratic Party was smart, and theyre not, they would be flooding airwaves and feeds on Asian and Hispanic centric forums, feeds, algos, radios etc that Trump is trying to take away their citizenship by race.

I want a electric tricycle for seniors with cargo capacity for me.

You know, men driving minivans full of clean, happy children and groceries still are very sexy. A man on a tricycle full of groceries for me and doggo is very, very sexy.

Today is #TransDayOfVisibility. So, to my trans friends, colleagues, students and any others out there I don't know yet: I see you.

You don't need me to say it but #TransRightsAreHumanRights

Also, to those seeking to take away those rights: I see you too. And will fight you with everything I got.
