I love Star Trek.

I hate and distrust the companies that have owned Star Trek.

My mom shared Star Trek with me. I know folks who work on Star Trek-related things.

I don't want my love for Star Trek to feed the Paramount monster. But I don't want to leave the people behind either.

In Roddenberrys own words, there are 2 Star Treks; the Trek actually representative of a truly diverse future that exists only in our dreams & the Star Trek we actually got, a TV show always trying to be diverse but still informed by the bias & limitations of present day writers & an unequal USA.

Also? Our girl Galaxy is the *first* trans superhero from DC or Marvel to be a title character and currently the *only* trans superhero to be the title character of a series.

This was a beautiful piece of Star Trek history mixed in with real world history & it was a blast! I loved the art, which was a loving reference to gold key comics of yesteryear! Uhura as a main character is so awesome, she deserves it & it was written so beautifully by Stephanie Williams!!

Nus Braka ooo how I hate you! Now this! This is how you write Harry mudd type character (charming suave type that has the upper hand bc he knows how the federation operated and thinks he can trick them but ya know Harry did it to women) without making me instantly hate him for what he stands for

But I felt like she had a plan and she did! It didn't go perfectly well but she at least still had the upper hand in this scene despite him trying to take control! (but yes I felt much the same 😭)
