This emphasis on "harder" really drives an emotional point I am trying to convey, but I'm not quite sure if I've done it properly. For this part, I want to develop Akira, Oskar, and Zhou's friendship a little more.

We are introduced to Akira's teammate, Oskar Pastri, and an AI which I have yet to give a proper name. This is Akira's first crash of the season, and in future chapters there will be one or two more as she improves.

This smaller piece of dialogue happens between Zhou spectating Akira and her handler phoning her after the crash. This scene is one of a handful of POV switches I fit in this first chapter. From this perspective, we are given more context as to how and why the crash happened.
