I was at a John Singer Sargent watercolor exhibit once at the Brooklyn Museum listening to elderly watercolor hobbyists eat their hats and lose their marbles over the fact that he used white watercolor freely, liberally and without shame

Idk about you but my pictures don't really, truly come together until the final 15%, which is why I often reject client requests for in progress updates
This is exactly why I’ve never really made a process video. I also tend to work on five projects at a time. I watch these time lapses where the person neatly renders every section one at a time and I’m like we are not built the same lol I do not work that way. AT ALL.
Thank you!!
Thank you! :))
Thank you both! 🙏

Hey I'm just happy to be here! Thank you for trusting me with your lovely books :,)
Above cover with type - "a new divergent series THE SIXTH FACTION #1 New York Times Bestselling Author VERONICA ROTH"
Above cover in more saturated pinks and blues with type - "a new divergent series THE SIXTH FACTION #1 New York Times Bestselling Author VERONICA ROTH." A circle of shattered glass is overlaid on this cover.
Here it is with glorious type! There will be two editions -- the paper tradeback and the special edition.

A reddish and neutral illustration, a girl in a red hoodie with blonde hair stands at the top of a shattered glass building, reflection of other skyscrapers in its sides. A man folding his arms stands behind her. Crows fly around them and up above in the sky, clouds swirl in a circular pattern around them.
Over the weekend @veronicarothbooks.com announced her new book, THE SIXTH FACTION, which I had the supreme pleasure of drawing the cover for. Thank you so much to the team at HarperCollins, Amy and Joel, who were an absolute delight in every way, for asking me to work on this.

I love to go to the combination grocery/medical/bank store, where after my colonoscopy I can buy roach traps and deposit my paycheck. my doctor is an iPad!
It’s…I’m beyond words. I can’t imagine anything having such an uncomfortable, invasive procedure done two walls and two doors over from flip flop wearing strangers shopping in the tooth paste aisle. Like…WHO had this idea. ⚰️
Honestly the double entendre is already there, by the logic of capitalism it is actually SHOCKING that Taco Bell has not already branched out into gynecological care
Screen shot of option on Kaiser website that says TARGET CLINIC.
I’m trying to schedule a pap smear and Kaiser is giving me the option of VISITING TARGET?????? I’m fully fucking dead over this. Fuck man why not just do it at a Taco Bell and then I can get a Baja blast afterwards.

I have an epson surecolor p700 that I used to print on 300lb hot press watercolor paper for years. Works perfectly. I keep it in a rolling stand because you have to feed the paper through straight
Yes I am victim blaming, and no I don’t care: the entire industry has used fear as the cornerstone of its marketing for years; threatening people’s way of life in the abstract while damaging the economy, stealing peoples work etc. You don’t get to walk that back just because it became real for you.
Photo of a woman wearing a tiny cowboy hat
Pharrell wearing an oversized brimmed hat
Everyone drawing cowboy hats last night. we were all wrecked, we learned a lot about ourselves 🥲
I was deeply humbled by a Stetson last night but somehow whenever I am having a hard time I switch to colored pencil and magically I am healed.
A rootin’ tootin’ cowboy night down at the ol’ figure drawing watering hole
Just three psyops in a trench coat, running a psyop
