i think part of it is just me wanting to play at mid level despite not having enough results to validate that. i wish i didn’t have the urge to just skip low level.

ended up deleting my fa post. idk why but i got overwhelmed with a lot of negative feelings after expressing interest in doing comp again. i wasn’t expecting it to get that much attention or people expressing interest in playing with me.

the more i think about it i start to hate how the game really just hides so much information from the player. the average player isn’t going to know what abilities get boosted when they get cooler or their comeback gets activated unless they search it up externally

splatoon really needs an in-game (key phrase: IN-GAME) gear ranking UI kinda like hsr because i’m gonna lose it if i get another dualie with tenacity respawn punisher drop roller (they were never gonna go to sendou.ink to look for best dualie builds anyway)

i wish there were more pst friendly tourneys available throughout the week. pretty much every open and skill capped tourney starts the minute i get out of work which leaves only the weekends. sucks because there isn’t much work around without keeping cst and est up for already later than normal.

not putting that attention towards my own personal growth has definitely held me back and damaged my self esteem. hoping one day i’ll be able to pick myself back up and give comp another try as long as i’m fair to myself and my expectations.

had a nice talk with friends last night about why i struggled so much when i still actively play comp and one of the primary culprits was focusing too much on what i didn’t have (e.g. connections, opportunities, etc.) and less on myself and i think it was a real eye-opener for me.
