Why does it feel like the console makers don't want to be in the business of making consoles or understand the market?

Logging into Myspace.
Close up of green Sega Dreamcast VMU inserted into Retro Fighters adapter with Claire Redfield sprite on screen.
On the inside, I look like 2-bit VMU Claire Redfield.

Mario & Luigi: Brothership contains an extremely cute model of a decorative baby penguin that appears only outside the playable area and is never seen up close. Below is a detailed view of the model to appreciate the penguin.
Just know that I appreciate anyone who reads my work on the daily. It's tough out there, and I'm willing to bet the algos don't really want you to see this sort of thing.
Hand holding Playdate with Wheelsprung on screen and out of focus backdrop with Pac-Man sitting on Vectrex and pictures on wall.
I wouldn't expect anything less from Panic, but it's nice to see the Playdate officially block AI being used to make games. It defeats the whole ethos of the platform anyway, but signalling to the minority of devs who'd use it that it's not ok is *good*.

ChatGPT code snuck onto the Playdate, but don't worry, handheld creators Panic are now barring AI games www.gamesradar.com/hardware/han...
People have a real habit of, whether they mean it or not, making me feel when I'm trying to explain things when articulating ideas is *hard enough*
Predator Badlands also has video game structure, which is weird.
Can't believe the Disneyfied Predator.

Kinder Egg astronaut girl figure fem face customized with Warhammer Space Marine armour parts and horns on head
I know nothing about Warhammer and was invited to a figure painting session that had Kinder Eggs in the snack pile. This was the outcome.
Me with a Ren and Stimpy shirt on that's probably too big for me.
Keeping things comfy.

In my quest to pick out the best modern retro controllers, I finally put the 8Bitdo M30 through its paces. It's great, but whether you need to go the 2.4GHz version is up for debate.

Making new consoles has gotten so expensive that it's now cheaper to just make an actual Neo Geo AES with original components, apparently.
I look like this in my head.

Update: cheeks still out and going to slap about this green idiot.
My last two posts have the same energy.

Alright, I'll give the people what they want (16-bit back).
Anyway, someone sent me a Vinted offer on their Windows 98 Tiny PC on Vinted that was listed for £150. The offer? £30. Take that, AI.
The bit that messes me up is the claim that it's technological progress when it's no better than a snake oil peddler's wares. Use the ointment while ignoring the fact your rash is spreading and all the town's money is going to the wagon that will high tail it out of there once society collapses.
Feels like Pandora's box is open at this stage. Too many people don't actually look at art and appreciate it as a human made creation that should be celebrated. They just get enough of a visual queue to spark the right schema that tells their brain "that looks vaguely like a highland coo".
Just found AI artwork in the parent's bathroom. The end is nigh.
