Honestly, the final fight against Xemnas in KH2 is so good. Spending the whole game playing up Xemnas as a manipulative mastermind, someone who KNOWS every outcome just by his careful calculations... for him to be confident enough to stake everything on one last fight? It's so cool.

Before and after Lavaridge Gym! Pepsi Blue evolved while we were dealing with Team Magma on Mt. Chimney and Waterfall was already available by this point, so, needless to say, we did not struggle very much with this gym. The Training Arc looms...

Before and after Mauville Gym! This was the first one that I managed to do in one try, and I didn't even need any super-effective moves. That said, it really felt at this point like they were gearing up to give me their worst... but did they? It remains to be seen...

Before and after Dewford Gym! I took a detour to Slateport to shiny hunt for an Electrike, the third girl of what will be many on the team. I struggled a LOT with Brawly's team in this one, good thing they made Noctowl Ghost/Flying! ...too bad it evolves one level past the cap.

Emerald Seaglass art thread starting here!!!! I started documenting my team before and after each gym via MS Paint doodle, and it evolved from there; it's been a low-energy way to engage with it creatively and it's been making me enjoy the game (and drawing) a lot more recently.
