lol I did not handle it well. Especially because I went into 2020 having decided to leave academia and get a tech job in New York and then couldn’t.

It’s more cursed than the McDonalds on Spadina and Queen
Between Elizabeth and Bay is it is CURSED.
But that was before I found out voodoo child simply became a bar 😂
Originally, the old location of Pilot on Ossington, back when it was cosy.
There is a Pulitzer Prize in writing a play connecting cursed downtown chain restaurants.
There is a Denny’s on Dundas in Toronto and an IHOP on 14th and 2nd in New York and if you drink enough coffee you can teleport between those two cursed places.
My most productive (but far and away least recommended) period of writing was when I was in Toronto and I would go to a cafe two street cars from the university and work all day while becoming so caffeinated I could see god and when go to the tequila bar across the road and work until I couldn’t.
Drink as much coffee as possible at an IHOP at 3 AM and then just let er rip
Actually cackling at “academic productivity”.
I know this is only funny to me. I don’t care.
Act 1 is almost identical (same cast list, same songs, same book). No gay is gonna cut Some People or Everything’s Coming Up Roses.
Radically different choreography on All I Need Is The Girl and the Mr Goldstone scene is reimagined.
Act 2 follows Tulsa. Same songs. Rose’s Turn is centred on Bukkake
Goddamn it Reba. You knew I was going into preproduction for my unauthorised gay porn parody of Gypsy and the name “One Night In Tulsa” was spoken for. You knew it.

May we all, in this difficult time, be indebted to a Joel Schumacher movie.
Do they still do the phantom’s hand appearing in the bed? Because that was so wild
Ok so it’s _deeply_ weird when someone follows just me (why?) and one other friend of mine. It feels creepy. Don’t. If you know us say something.
At this particular moment in time I’ve let my rec algorithms take me to whatever “he’s really into trains” obsession it’s leading me to (this week: magic the gathering)

The absolute best feeling is removing the `#[should_panic]` from the top of a test because the feature is now implemented.
I’m sure it’ll be a blast
I do not know how it is today. I hope it’s great. But my impression was especially at that meeting that ISBA’s devotion to the past was unparalleled.
Even when I was paid for this I only went to ISBA once and was not a fan
