Excellent. Sure it's only faster you'll be getting.

Good man. Glad to see you back on two wheels, mate. Is that the coveted pre-Covid touring bike you're on?
Of all my kids' milestones, is it bad that this is the one that delights me the most? #bikesky
It was such a treat painting the stained glass style cover for this upcoming edition of "Pray for Him"!
(I am looking respectfully at those sprayed edges 👀)
Whoa. Well, *that's* gonna stick with me all day.
Love it, Stu. I absolutely recognise that state.
It used to be induced by hedonism, these days it's more from capitalism!
Nice one, Stu.
'Keshed' is phonetically the same as 'Ceist', the Irish word for question.
Not sure if that tracks with the novel but it pleases me somehow.
Cheers.
The novel 'Keshed' by Stu Hennigan on top of a pile of books on a bedside locker.
From indie press to indie bookshop to the top of my TBR pile.
Looking forward to this from @stuhennigan.bsky.social after some speedy ordering by Seanchai Books in Kildare. #speirgorm
Anyone spot a cyclist (me) knocked off her bike along the canal at drimnagh today by someone who drove away? If you got a reg I’d love the help to report them! @ibike.ie
The driver who cut across the bike lane *inside school grounds* this morning, waved his apology with the phone in his hand.
But yeah, I probably should have been wearing a yellow clown costume. My bad.
scan of sketchbook page with four portrait sketches, drawn with blue ballpoint pen. Three of them have additional shading done with mostly pink and green colour pencils.
More ballpoint and colour pencil portrait studies from photos focusing mostly on the shadows/values.
Quilicura, Chile, one of the communities I wrote about in EMPIRE OF AI, has launched a brilliant initiative to inspire more responsible AI prompting. Today, don't use AI; ask the townspeople instead: quili.ai. So heartened to see this creative act of resistance.

Unreal colours in the sky over West Kildare just now, the phone camera picks it up really well. #aurora #kildare #Ireland
"I'm not making excuses here."
Then proceeds to make excuses...
Urgh, 190kmh is utterly reckless and terrifying. He got off easy.
Despite the arts space’s best efforts, The Complex announces its closure today, in the latest space loss for Dublin arts and culture, as government ministers fail to act to save it.
We are culturally rich yet politically inept. So it goes ad infinitum

Glad you're ok, Mike. I always felt that people drive more recklessly on a Friday for some reason.
Beir bua.
Cropped front half of long eared gangly fox, with inky black eyes and nose, striding through greeny browny squiggles against a white background
Fox made of deep saturated reds and oranges, in a dog like sitting position looking towards you head slightly cocked against a background of bursts of orange, cyan and green
Heads of two boys or perhaps men, one close up in the centre with inky black eyelashes and splotches of red and cyan across his face and neck, behind him to the right a similarly textured boy staring vaguely in your direction, with Jesus Christ Superstar written at the top in crude bubble writing
Simple side view close up of a dove, wings up, who is partly ink and partly pastel, with an array of greens towards the top of him and red loops near where his feet would be
I’ve added the four recent inky drawings to my site as originals for sale, Friday seems like the right day for this kind of thing. (The dove is in the ‘doves’ gallery) Thank you for looking and reposts are v appreciated.

Somebody on here quipped earlier that we live in precedented times. It hit home with me.
In 2003 I watched US troops roll in to the oil rich Iraqi city of Kirkuk and roll straight out the other side to take up defensive positions around the oil refinery.

Totally agree, Mike. I would haunt anyone seeking to memorialise me by littering!
Large convoy of trucks, vans and the odd motorbike blared through our town just now - apparently on a charity event. Good for them.
Call me old-fashioned, but perhaps there are better ways to raise funds than noise and air pollution.

Bluey character figurine hangs from the side of coffee table, suspended in transparent slime from an alien toy
The five-year-old has unwittingly created the Stranger Things/Bluey crossover that we didn't know we wanted.
I'm not one for the hymns but will be singing this all day now! Love it.
He is born on Christmas morning.

They've done it again, they've cut more rail projects. The most criminal one for me is cancelling the reopening of the Waterford-Wexford/Rosslare line. On the left is the All-island Rail Review published by the last government and on the right is the plan published today.
Can we start by getting rid of the Angelus?
There's a guy in our town (I assume it's a guy) whose car makes a loud artificial "Pewww" sound on every gear change.
And I just wanna tell him how much of a tragic tool he is.
@irishcycle.com maybe you could give this warning a boost to the #speirgorm crew. I've seen a good few RadWagons about over last few years. Cheers.
