Please reconsider supporting this bill (and bills like it). The solution is not more governmental control over the private lives of minors. Rather, why are you not pushing for comprehensive data privacy laws (which would actually protect kids)

There are FAR MORE causes of the youth mental health crisis than social media. Many studies have shown the social media "addiction" isn't a medical addiction. Is it any wonder that kids use it to cope with how society treats them?

Bills that restrict minors' access to the internet/social media is a slippery slope straight to censorship which is why the right pushes for it so much. To verify someone's age, there needs to be an I.D. check of some kind (because biometric face scans do not work)
