Sally Rideโ€™s 1977 letter to NASA fits in a single post:

"To whom it may concern,

I am a PhD candidate in astrophysics at Stanford University, and am interested in the space shuttle program. Please send me the forms necessary to apply as a 'mission specialist' candidate.

Thank you,
Sally Rideโ€

Richard Serra, Who Recast Sculpture on a Massive Scale, Dies at 85 His tilted walls of rusting steel, monumental blocks and other immense and inscrutable forms created environments that had to be walked through, or around, to be fully experienced.

Being totally not plugged into art world/history means flipping through NYT obits only to discover someone already did the sculptures I dream of doing ha

Wow, how heavy is your bike? That looks very nice! I don't have any major hills here in the routes I usually do, and I feel like having a throttle would be fun, but then if I have a throttle then that's basically a scooter I want, not a bike...storage is my primary concern (carrying up/down stairs).

Recently, I learned that men can sometimes be nurses and secretaries, but women can never be doctors or presidents. I also learned that Black people are more likely to owe money than to have it owed to them. And I learned that if you need disability assistance, youโ€™ll get more of it if you live in a facility than if you receive care at home.

At least, that is what I would believe if I accepted the sexist, racist, and misleading ableist pronouncements from todayโ€™s new artificial intelligence systems. โ€ฆ

I'm always surprised when people post about their clothes falling apart because I've only had that happen once - sometimes I almost wish they would disintegrate faster so I can feel less guilty about getting new clothes! I also mend minor issues so I'm resigned to all my clothing lasting forever :/
