Time for the floppy stage photo shoot! I couldn't fit those giant ears into my regular 4:3 format. Donkey plushies are hard to photograph in that respect. I'm very happy with how all the custom markings worked out with this little guy. 🪡🧵🧶🐎

Yes. Some seams I run over a second time with my sewing machine, but most of the plushie and any markings are fully hand sewn. :3

Getting through all the stripes felt like a steady, but painfully slow process. The regular markings felt very much like just blowing past. Now I'm in the middle of assembling the ears. 🪡🧵🧶🥰

I'm glad I've marked all the tiny parts, else it would be a nightmare, trying to figure out which piece needs to go where. For those curious, what "HOX" or "FI" might stand for; H stands for "Hindleg", O for "Outside" and the X means that the piece is Mirrored. FI stands for "Frontleg, inside". 🪡🧵🧶🥰

Usually I start out with all the furry parts, before I work on other details. This time it's the other way around. I still have some cutting to do, but couldn't resist sewing a few stripes to see how they'd work out. There's no seam allowance at the pointy ends, so I've added a bit of glue. 🥰🪡🧵🧶

Working on a donkey with custom markings. This one will have striped legs, so very excited about those, but also daunted by the sheer amount of simlarily shaped pieces. ❤️🪡🧵🧶

Prices for custom markings vary a lot, depending on how much time they add for patterning and assembly. I don't charge extra if it's a mere color change. I would need to know more to answer your question properly.

I'm really happy to be done with the head. It has so many black parts and it has been a pretty straining on my eyes. I'm looking forward to working on the body. The hoof bottoms will soon follow, but it's too late to start on those tonight. Maybe tomorrow. 🪡🧵🧶🐴
