From Perceived Economic Inequality to Support for Redistribution: The Role of Meritocracy Perception | International Review of Social Psychology

Across a survey and two experiments, we (Guillermo Willis, @angelsanrod.bsky.social and @rrbailon.bsky.social) show that when people see society as unequal, their perception of meritocracy weakens, leading to greater support for redistribution.
