Yeah you get little eddies along the RFD gust front that can spin up some dust as the gust front surges. They're not tornadoes at all.

This might be the most exciting owl find for me since I started birding, an occupied Long-eared Owl nest! I'm extremely excited to watch the owlets grow over the next few months, owlets are a lot of fun to watch as they're much more active than adults during daylight hours. #birds #raptors

Got the Pontiac tornado, bailed on the storm about 45 minutes before the Kankakee tornado. On the board, but at what cost.

Kinda figured there would be some warm front tornadoes in Michigan today, but I was not expecting what visually looks to be a violent(EF4+) tornado with an ice covered lake in the foreground...

If you're at the airport and Kristi Noem is doing the ominous little message from the TSA screens, you no longer have to do anything she says. Leave your laptop in the case, whatever.

Took a peak at the hellsite and chasers are still mad the SPC doesn't forecast for chasers.

Am oddly agreeable Great Horned Owl last night down at the lake. Of the 12 owl species I've photographed, they're easily the most annoying to work with despite how common they are as they tend to be very skittish. #birds #raptors

I cant seem to stop coming across Long-eared Owls this winter, with ANOTHER that I found yesterday lol. I believe I've found 7-8 individuals just in my home county alone. #birds #raptors

Been a wild year for Long-eared Owls locally, I cant believe how common they've been! Especially after having usually struggled a ton to find them around here. I had a completely different target this afternoon but this owl ended up being the main event lol. #birds #raptors

Seeing a geriatric punk rock band tonight, the last time I saw them play was over 20 years ago lol. Getting old is weird.

Today I checked in on a Long-eared Owl I'd found last month and it was still there! Also a bonus Short-eared Owl roosting in a bush that I found on my way home(you might have to squint to see him lol). #birds #raptors
