i guess im just using these two games as a tool to say something bigger, i think i just kinda don't like too many modern games. at times it feels like they can be built on convenience and while that's fair yeah for sure that's just not For Me, i suppose. idk i haven't slept I'm just yapping

rise is a great game don't get me wrong but it's a little too agreeable at times if that makes sense. lots of things are very convenient!! but im realizing that simply on a personal level i do not like too much convenience. i like when things feel rough or unpolished the most

rolling my eyes when my inventory slots are full of shit or failing to craft an item actually feels really nice. i miss that kinda friction. yeah i guess i do have to think about my inventory don't i.

thinking about why i immediately clicked with gu and why rise took me a bit, and i think the difference is that there's stuff in gu that kinda annoys me
