Police used AI facial recognition to arrest a Tennessee woman for crimes committed in a state she says she’s never visited | CNN A Tennessee grandmother spent more than five months in jail after police used an AI facial recognition tool to link her to crimes committed in North Dakota – a state she says she’d never been to befor...

This 50 yr old woman spent 5 months in jail accused of a crime in a state she's never even been to, because Clearview AI misidentified her as the suspect.

A judge signed off on it, cops went along with it, no process in place to even question the AI.

Newsprint text reads, "Last year $3000 was the amount the budget for the expense of improvements at street intersections, but it was found at the end of the year that there was a deficit of about $3800. This year the deficit will be almost seven times that amount. But the wonderful growth of the city more than warrants the extensive expenditures, which are being made in street improvements, and it is not thought that there will be any bad effect from the large deficit which the city will have to make good."

A painted mural on the side of a brick building with two small rectangular windows. The mural depicts a woman dressed from the early 1900’s standing next to a white carriage that reads US Mail with a brown horse in front of it. Green hills, trees, and a blue sky with some clouds are in the background.

Judge ends asylum claims for Liam Conejo Ramos and his family, orders family's removal The family’s lawyers plan to appeal the judge’s decision to deport the family to Ecuador.

Outrageous.

Stripping Liam Conejo Ramos and his family of asylum is beyond cruel and indefensible.

This decision must be overturned. Shame.

My child was surprised (and dismayed?) yesterday to learn that I’m not a witch. I’m an Episcopalian though and there is some overlap.

Got my ash on my forehead and tween in tow at Sea-Tac Airport and I haven't been hit on this much in YEARS. Femmes looking to catch a husband, there's still time to hit a mass, rent a kid, and make your way to a major transit hub.

5-year-old boy among four students detained by ICE, according to school leaders School district leaders argue ICE agents are following students and their parents while driving to and from school.

This comes just after the president publicly demanded that ICE should start showing the public how terrible the people are who they're grabbing and arresting.

In this case, his name is Liam. He's five years old.

Senator, this is gross. Taking over Greenland isn’t a nice-to-have after cost of living has gone down, and to frame it as one is wild. Be laser-focused on helping us preserve our life and liberty please.
