Hey, friends. Three years ago today I released VOID 1680 AM, the response to which legitimately changed my life.
I've added 100 community copies free to download. Become the late-night radio DJ of your dreams and build a playlist tied to your history with music here: bannerless.games/voidam

This interview of Bill Gates by Terry Pratchett in 1995 is so fascinating. There are some pretty good predictions about the next 20+ years, though I also quite enjoy Terry's incredulity that computers will become ubiquitous.
This is a bad take from an MP from my home town. Governments are supposed to exist for the public good, not to turn a profit. They aren't and should not be corporations, nor run like one.
This is such a damn cool thing Ken did here, folks. Some genuine pay-it-forward action within a niche creator space.

Screen shot of a tweet from this day in 2020 by the San Miguel sheriff department about there being a large boulder the size of a small boulder in the middle of the road.
Happy “Large Boulder the size of a Small Boulder” Day to all those who celebrate.
A big ol goose egg.
I'll let the guy in charge know!
Scrolling through my posts and seeing that my first one was all British, I decided to do a Canadian version:
One book: The Sarantine Mosaic by Guy Gavriel Kay
One film: Black Christmas
One Album: Truthfully, Truthfully by Joel Plaskett Emergency
One TV Show: The Kids in the Hall
If you live in NJ and don't already know about it, Dungeons n' Drafts offers one-shot D&D sessions at local craft breweries and I run games at several locations every month! (They also operate in other states and cities, check the main site.) linktr.ee/canuckgm
Most of a full year later and I still haven't found the survival crafting game I want. Not sure how to have a game that's functionally like 7D2D but more upbeat? I want to be able to snipe baddies but not be depressed by the visuals, while also be crafting all kinds of shit and building bases.
This blew me away when these characters were first announced.
introduce yourself with:
One book: Night Watch
One film: Hot Fuzz
One Album: Monty Python's Contractual Obligation Album
One TV Show: Taskmaster
"Ah yes, Victor von Doom, famously a user of firearms."
A weird G or possibly a C, with a little wing attached to the end of the lower right curve
Does anyone in the wide worlds of sports or comics know what a symbol that looks like this, in silver, on a blue shirt, also with a Marvel logo on it, would be for? We are stumped.
My wife tossed out THE spoon that I liked to use for cereal and soup because it was mismatched to the rest of our cutlery and we have a ton of the other spoons. My surprising discomfort with all other spoons since is one of the many things that has led me to believe that I'm likely on the spectrum.

just told me that Barnes&Nobles has a preorder code for 25% off by 1/26 - which would apply to KARATE PROM! Order here and use the attached code! barnesandnoble.com/w/karate-pro...
I want a 70's muscle car, with an electric engine swapped in, and a stereo I can connect my phone to for music, but nothing else computerized
It's interesting to me, and kind of a bummer, that both PAST LIVES and BARBIE were nominated for best picture, but both had their lead actresses and their (women) directors left off.
Alright besties: we’ve got another union walkout tomorrow, timed with the Oscar noms announcement. Don’t click on any links from Vanity Fair, Vogue, Bon Appetit, GQ, Glamour, Self, Allure, Teen Vogue, Condé Nast Traveler, etc: ✊ www.hollywoodreporter.com/business/bus...
I don't much care about Oscar nominations, but I am tickled to see Nimona nominated for Best Animated. That is very neat.
It was so flippin' good
A fried onion cheeseburger cooking in a pan, with the bun set up on top
A homemade fried onion burger
Made the onion burgers from the George Motz burger book last night, they were great so I had another one for lunch today with the last of the beef. Super basic and really delicious.
Give me my Black Series gonk droid
I had to look for the spot to satisfy my own memory, it was The Farmhouse Tap & Grill.
I've only been there once, for part of a day (visited 3 breweries and a really good restaurant), and I desperately want to go back for several days.
Same here, after watching the first episode and deciding it wasn't for me. The only impact of it to me is that the main character's dad in Resistance is the senator on Ahsoka that is played by a guy who I was in high school with (but did not know well).
