Implemented a cool glitch effect that I can but on an arbitrary mesh. It's like an object your mind refused to see. #gamedev
What do your laptop stickers look like?
If you've wondered how a basic computer processor works, you should read this www.outercloud.dev/blogs/riscv-1/
You can just email people and they'll reply π
Our RISC-V processor successfully works. It's running pong which I wrote in c and compiles using some random compiler I found. I wonder if we'll ever be able to fab it.
There's this idea of the independent web.
A beautiful idea. Where finally WE own the internet.
Read this: It's really good.

this is a screen being driven by a program I wrote bit by bit in machine code, being executed on a RISC-V processor I'm designing. I'm freaking out right now
This weekend I thought I might build something with HE at tree hacks but I didn't think I would figure it out in time. BUT, I somehow did it and I'm sure proud of what came out. π
Just learned about homomorphic cryptography a few days ago from a book I found in my dorm lounge. It's this super cool idea where you can still do calculations on encrypted data, so that everything remains private.
Here's a postmortem about our team's experience reaching finals at MIT Battlecode this year www.outercloud.dev/blogs/battle...
Pulled a server out of the trash at MIT and it works somehow :D
Working on a new website design. Hoping to use it as a portfolio and place to post some blogs in the future.
So I installed arch linux. Then played steam games on it. It took like 20 minutes and was super easy. π What do you mean it was this easy all along.
Right I've been thinking that some other parts of games, like maybe UI and potentially some systems could greatly benefit from just other paradigms.
I do think the game object / component oriented approach a lot of engines take is definitely sometimes gets in the way of some easy things. I've been definitely finding success going a bit around the standard and and trying to do more with code rather than the structure of my gameobjects.
Drawing some new items #pixelart
Recently tried out go for the first time. It's actually really nice. Sort of feels like TypeScript but slightly lower level.
the personal compute cluster π
the debug indicators from our battlecode 2026 bot looks kind of like abstract art. it's kind of cool lol
Bsky is better than twitterπ it needs to be more popular

The for you feed really is good
A few years ago I lived in a neighborhood were there was some drugs, but it was pretty tame most of the time.

I'm guessing a few days maybe a week
