I think some folks get the impression that #ガンバレ!中村くん #GanbareNakamurakun #GoForItNakamurakun is set in the 20th century because of the art style, despite the fact that some characters are shown using what looks like the Nintendo DS (2004) and the leads both have large touchscreen smartphones (2006)

I like the retro like artstile, even if it makes people think the story takes place in a more old setting (80's n' 90's) I think it has its own charm
