Hi everyone -
Do you have to use your car because there is no public transport in your area? Do you have to do mutual obligations right now? Would you feel comfortable chatting for a story? Please message me here or email: cait.kelly@theguardian.com

Israel bombed an ambulance in Lebanon, and then bombed paramedics that came to the rescue, and then bombed more paramedics that came to the rescue again. What do you mean, you don't support triple taps? Are you some kind of antisemite?

The "Regurgitation": AI doesn't "know" facts; it predicts the next most likely piece of data (token) based on the massive patterns it collected during training.

How it works: Imagine a parrot that has listened to every conversation ever held on the internet. It doesn't know what "philosophy" or "quantum physics" is, but it knows that when someone says "To be or not to," the most statistically likely next word is "be."

The Stochastic Parrot
The word stochastic means "randomly determined" or governed by probability. The parrot part refers to the act of repeating words without understanding their meaning......

Jews and Palestinians lived side by side in Palestine for centuries-essentially all Canaanites. Why did European Jews need to colonize the area and drive Palestinians out when they could have just lived there? By now, living in peace, the story may have been less murderous. Now It’s a hatred story.

To my non tech normies, PSA: when you share a link, everything after the ? is tracking. Those “query parameters” tell companies exactly how you arrived, what app you clicked, which ad or email sent you, sometimes a unique identifier tied to you. You can delete everything after the question mark.

How can Australia keep being allied with a country being led by a sociopath who is not being impeached for all he has done.

This month's power bill is $57. $44.24 of that is for supply (daily connection). God help us if they go to $5/day like they are suggesting might happen.

I was over there in July last year and was very surprised at just how many fast chargers there were.

2 weeks ago 0 0 0 0

The frustration of fast charging places is a bit of a PITA at times. My wife was 16th in a line at Coolac the other day.

That said, 90% of the time it is short trips and the solar on the roof sorts them out.

In view of their history, you would think they would try to prevent a reoccurrence of Genocide!
Instead, they are trying to create a new holocaust.
And I thought they were a God fearing nation 🤦‍♂️

Countries banning all teenagers from social media because "their brains aren't developed enough to handle it", meanwhile nobody's talking about the percentage of retirement-aged adults who have irreversibly cooked their fucking brains on Facebook since 2020.

Trump: I met 92 yrs old Mr. Toyoda in Japan. I said, What do you have to do with Toyota? He said, “I own it.” He then agreed to invest $10 billion in the U.S.
Fact: Real owner already died in 2023 and the current CEO is just 65 years old. #cdnpoli
